When I was working retail, I stopped a few gift card scams, and that was 10+ years ago when phone and internet scams weren’t as frequent as they are now. I’m not surprised about banks doing this after a few of their customers got taken for a ride and demanded that the bank do something about it.

Check with your boss/HR. My partner works for a University, and they have received an ergo mouse, chair, and motorized adjustable desk for their home office simply by requesting them. Most organizations have a budget for IT accomodations and they hardly ever use it.
Also, if you can get a Dr’s note for it, most places will purchase just about any accomodations you need for work. Larger monitors, ergo keyboard, dictation software…etc…
spoilerThe character is the result of 200 years of inbreeding in a small and closed society of middle managers with limited food and resources living underneath a post global-nuclear-exchange induced irradiated apocalypse wasteland.
Which may be part of the reason why he’s short and doesn’t look like Brad Pitt.
I don’t think protest works without risk to the protestors. They have to be willing to take those risks to stand up for a cause, otherwise it’s not a protest, it’s just a group complaint.
If someone said “you can protest over there, at these certain times” you’d fuckin bet that I’d protest anywhere and any time except for what was specified.
Kennedy said, “Those who make peaceful protest impossible, make violent protest inevitable”, the modern version should be “those who don’t listen to peaceful protest, are signaling that they will only respond to violent protest”.
So if protestors are disrupting classes, delaying traffic, and forcing the general public to acknowledge the issue at hand, then good, that’s what a protest should do. If they are causing immediate danger to themselves or others, then they should expect to be removed, hopefully voluntarily.
I saw my wife’s student loans last night. She took out 37,000 dollars in 2008. She’s been paying her monthly amount for over 10 years, and she now only owes 43,000 dollars.
Cancel student debt. Most of us have already paid for college more than once.
Edit: also worth noting that up until now, only about 30% of PSLF applications are approved, and something like 37 (that’s total, not percent) of loans are fulfilled using IDR plans.
It’s a little late for Biden to terminate his campaign. Best thing he can do is pick a progressive VP (I don’t know much about Kamala right now) and then resign day 1.
I think Democrats have focused too much on who they don’t want as President for the last 8 years, and now the party doesn’t have any other candidates that have the name/brand power to go toe to toe with trump and his base of far-right brainwashed quislings. The best bet to win this thing is to run Biden at this point, but they need to build some candidate brand/visibility for their next election.

Honestly, the only “OP” mod that I would recommend is the one that lets you craft legendary effects. There is an option on the installer that disabled the crafting and lets you just move legendary effects to different items, which makes it more rewarding to find legendaries instead of disappointing.
FO4, skip the museum. I usually clear out the raiders there, and then start my first base at the Starlight drive in, from there, you’ve got a good outpost to hit most of the starter stuff north of downtown. Once I’ve got decent lockpicking, hacking and survivability, I’ll head to Hangman’s alley, setup there and start clearing clearing out the north end of Downtown, and jaunt over to Goodneighbor and Bunker Hill.
In jail, no phone, no internet, no interviews. The only way he’d get to talk to the public is though his lawyer, who is accountable to tell the truth when discussing details of the case.
It’s the public institutions that keep defunding education, healthcare and social safety nets in order to give tax breaks to billionaires and fast-track aid to Israel.
AI isn’t going to take half the blue collar jobs in your lifetime.
Most likely, it will take over menial coding, buercratic and management tasks. Anything that requires manual labor is going to take AI and a robot. Imagine an AI + an Autonomous truck trying to pick up a load of pallets, drive cross country, back up/park the trailer and unload the pallets. Or try to imagine how expensive a suite of robots and an AI would be that could do oil changes on just 50% of the cars on the road.
I agree that the experiment was successful. He showed that through hard work and determination, shady scumbag online retailing and destroying your body, you might be able to make 65k. The main way people get wealthy is to be born wealthy. The rest of us can just look forward to trading our limited time and delicate health to scrape out a meager paycheck-to-paycheck existence.
I did physically type it out. I doubt the idea is original, I’m sure I’ve heard similar sentiments elsewhere, but at this time I cannot attribute it to a particular source.
