The I'm reading right now is "Umineko no Naku Koro ni". I'm only about 8 hours in - out of probably 50 hours for this "Question Arcs" section of the game.

(I haven't bought the "Answer Arcs" yet, but I will.)

I've only just gotten into visual novels, but I'm getting super-hyped about them!

Fröhliche Weihnachten!

For us Germans, Christmas begins today - in fact, for many people, Christmas Eve is the biggest part of it all.

I'll spend today with family, we'll have a late dinner and open presents after that (German tradition). The day might be spent reading, editing, baking cookies and possibly playing a game or two.

We'll see.

Getting started on the pork vindaloo which will take a couple hours or so to cook.

Before it's done, I plan on making some naan to go with it. Haven't made fresh naan in a little while!

I just think it's weird that, here in the US, we have decided that at 18 you are legally mature enough to make the decision to get married, or to go to war & die for your country - but NOT legally mature enough to make the decision to have a beer.

Spent the last two days sick in bed.

I think I'm feeling well enough to go into work today (wasn't able to make it in yesterday) but we'll see how it goes.

I feel guilty enough for having missed such a busy day yesterday. I'm hoping I feel better as the day goes on - but if I need to just come home, then I will.

(I'm not the only one at work to have gotten... whatever this is, but I do seem to be the only one who got hit hard enough to be down multiple days!)

    I think I'm probably gonna call in sick to work today.

    I only feel about as lousy as I did on Monday (when I did go to work) but it's gonna be a slow day at the office anyway, so I know they can handle it.

    I just wanna rest up & feel better - even though I'm not HUGELY sick.

    I've come down with a pretty bad case of what I assume to be the flu. Came home from work around noon & almost immediately dived into bed under two comforters with the space heater blasting - and I've STILL been shivering non-stop.

    Now it's 8-ish & I'm not improving, so it's not looking good for being able to make it into work tomorrow...
