I just think it's weird that, here in the US, we have decided that at 18 you are legally mature enough to make the decision to get married, or to go to war & die for your country - but NOT legally mature enough to make the decision to have a beer.
I feel guilty enough for having missed such a busy day yesterday. I'm hoping I feel better as the day goes on - but if I need to just come home, then I will.
(I'm not the only one at work to have gotten... whatever this is, but I do seem to be the only one who got hit hard enough to be down multiple days!)
Of course, there's a bit of a catch. Yes, it's up on Amazon, Google and Kobo, but the other stores are still taking their sweet old time. (Looking at you, Apple and Tolino.)
Which means that the link below isn't yet as fully functional as it will be in a couple of days. Apologies!
My doctor's appointment was just canceled due to weather (what a waste of 12 hours of fasting - I could have had a late-night snack!!!) so now to see if I can get my car safely to work or not...
I wish all #Fedizens and your loved ones a wonderful festive season and happy holidays, whichever you celebrate. I am looking forward to two days of holiday celebration with my family. ๐
For us Germans, Christmas begins today - in fact, for many people, Christmas Eve is the biggest part of it all.
I'll spend today with family, we'll have a late dinner and open presents after that (German tradition). The day might be spent reading, editing, baking cookies and possibly playing a game or two.
We'll see.
Wishing you wonderful holidays, happy time with family, yummy food and joy.
The #VisualNovel I'm reading right now is "Umineko no Naku Koro ni". I'm only about 8 hours in - out of probably 50 hours for this "Question Arcs" section of the game.
(I haven't bought the "Answer Arcs" yet, but I will.)
I've only just gotten into visual novels, but I'm getting super-hyped about them!
Ryukishi07 is the pen-name of the guy who created the visual novel of "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni", initially writing & drawing everything (though later editions would replace his art with drawings that were, well, good). The anime was later made based on that VN.
The follow up VN was "Umineko no Naku Koro ni" (the one I'm playing/reading right now) and as far as I can tell, there's no direct connection - but both are horror-themed mysteries.
EDIT: I have so many great contacts, thank you all so much. Iโm going to focus on the list Iโve got and making sure Iโve got the funds on hand to pay for what Iโm sure will be an amazing piece of art. Thank you again for all your help!
