I did an Amazon review of a product I received that was absolutely not genuine, and that review was taken down. Amazon wrote to me, "the information we have indicates that the product you received was authentic." Clearly, their information-gathering techniques do not include opening the bottle, or they would have agreed that the product was fake.

Was I a fool to trust Amazon in the first place? Absolutely. Don't make the same mistake!

I tripped over the foot of a construction sign on my way to work today, and took quite a tasty fall. Old ladies should definitely not do that. The only remotely good part was the handsome young man who helped me up.
I am not very badly hurt, but I sure feel dumb.
Then I got to work and discovered that one of my customers had nominated me for an Outstanding Service Award - which doesn't mean money, just an official, on-record high five. Which is quite cool.

@kimlockhartga Same thing we do every day, Pinky: try to take over the world.
(I do this by working my li'l tech support job for 9 hours then coming home to take care of kid and critters. This strategy has enabled me to take complete control of 220 square feet of prime Wisconsin basement. It's all just somewhat dreary but necessary preamble to my World Beer and Ukelele Tour.)

Finally getting around to using a tooth whitening kit I've had for a while. Happened to notice that it has an expiration date of some time in 2022. That's okay, my willingness to meaningfully improve myself expired some time before that.

I have had The Most Fun with taking things apart lately.
Tonight it was the dishwasher. It had reached "dirtier than when they went in" stage and I knew there was a filter somewhere that needed cleaning.
Holy shit, you guys. ANOTHER appliance that has to be completely disassembled just to get to the filter. I can't believe my luck.

My previous one (at the previous house) was a Bosch, where to clean the filter you grab a little doohickey about the size of a water glass, give it a quarter turn, and lift it out. Rinse and replace. Done.
