Biased against a moronic idea? I don’t quite see what you’re getting at. If he wasn’t biased against this he’d be an idiot. It’s a really stupid plan, like most tech-bro ideas turn out to be
You see the tyrants buckle when their lies start to crumble The high turn humble when their empire tumble The bone-chilling condition war criminal villain Their pronouns are pronounced as chosen and victim The bombs in the billions to rain on the children The holy land built on mass graves you’re filling
It’s there no way we can popularise really-late-term abortions for the people promoting this bullshit? Is 60 years really too late for the mothers of these ultra-national/conservative fuckwads to change their minds?
Yeah, it’s sad to see unique bits of history fall foul of the whims of a tyrant. In the same Vance, the historical sites in the Middle East being destroyed by fundamentalists is a tragedy.
Every time I start to think that the UK is becoming a world-leader in stupid, immoral decisions by an increasingly corrupt and selfs serving political elite, the US manages to pull something jaw-dropping out of the bag to knock us back into second place. Somehow, we’re both gaining speed in this race to the bottom!
Maybe because there’s an army of us born and raised before diagnosis was common, living undiagnosed, and thinking we’re just fuckwits or that we broke our brains when younger.
A combination of having to live with just themselves for company over lockdown, and finding au/adhd memes that start as funny, and then slide toward “oh fuck, that actually explains a lot… is that… me?” has led a lot of people to seek help and diagnosis, so it looks like a rise of adult au/adhd spectrum individuals.
I’ve got the manual Flair Pro, and I go through phases of using it, or going back to a moka pot. As it comes with a case, I can pack the gubbins away, leaving just the rather pleasing-looking frame, and I have a plan to make a little shelf with a drawer so that the whole affair can be tidied away quickly if I want. I’ve also taken it camping with me, and occasionally if I’m working somewhere remote, I’ve had excellent espresso on a job site far out in the woods.
It’s slightly more involved than an automatic machine, but if you’re only making one or two cups (I have two of the portafilter parts) it’s pretty quick and easy. I only have a hand grinder, so have to do that whether I’m using the Flair, a moka pot, or a cafetière.
The Flair allows so much adjustment that it can make some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, but it allows you to screw it’s right up too, and there’s a bigger learning curve than most machines. It’s definitely more of a hobby than just a part of a morning routine.
It also works on forever chemicals. They studied levels of PFAS in the blood of firefighters (who are commonly exposed to high levels in the foam they use), and found a clear difference between those that regularly donated blood and those who didn’t
I think in a lot of cases this is true, but as a flip-side to that, a lot of people use the idea that people should be capable of changing to avoid having to alter their behaviour toward, or expectations of, neurodivergent folks

Can you clarify what you mean by “Watching for the bloom”? I’m an espresso boy, I don’t generally get to see what’s happening in the brew chamber, so I’m unfamiliar with what that term actually means. I’ve watched James’ videos pretty religiously, but it’s your comment that’s made me realise I don’t know what that actually means!
