interesting thing to note about the cisgender people who reject the category of cisgender is that they never suggest an alternate label.
if someone says they don't like queer, they usually say they use gay or lesbian or something else. those cisgender people don't do that.

when someone starts on the "cis is a slur" BS they're not rejecting the category of cis-ness, they aren't saying they aren't cis-gender. what they are saying is that the group doesn't need to be talked about. that whatever problems transgender people might have are all placed within the transgender group, nothing to do with the other groups that might have power here.
that we're broken and need to be fixed, not people who are part of society.

which is obvious bullshit, of course social power dynamics affect people and we need to be able to discuss the various groups with/without power

I wonder how much this is a conscious strategy vs a knee jerk reaction? I'll note that it's something i mostly see from white people

I really think we should have a lower weight limit on vehicle licenses, and charge heavier vehicles more rego
Want to drive a 2,000kg ute? You have to pay more rego and do a special training course. The basic license only gets you 1,200kg

Love these pearls carved into little skulls. But, most necklaces that use them call too much attention to them, too goth, too edgy for me. Ever since I first saw this kind of bead I knew just how they ought be used:

A perfectly normal-looking small pearl necklace unless you look closer. Something that isn't noticed right away. A wink... in jewelry form.

I'm going to knot two versions, one all black, one all white.

I wonder how hard it is to carve a pearl?
