It feels striking and appropriate, that my doctor makes me feel like I'm crazy and a hypochondriac for having vague symptoms making me unable to work for going on 6 weeks now, and dismissing my own evaluation of my working capacity saying I should work 20%.

Because I love being at home and not being able to make proper dinner or handle more than a 10 min walk on the property before i collapse. Sure, i can squeeze in 1.5 hours of work, and just ... Not eat or move. Sounds like a good bargain.

Another one of these “Danielle belatedly realises what the fuck is up with her” moments.

Tomorrow is the day of the parade, which makes it essentially the two year anniversary of the day I met the man who would rape me a few months later. In retrospect, I can now see that this whole Mardi Gras season I’ve been an absolute mess, falling apart at the slightest provocation. I guess maybe I’ve been in denial, thinking I was healed and had moved on.

Maybe I’m not there yet 😔

I'm dealing with some serious fatigue post-covid.
After trying to work 100% almost 3 weeks after being sick for 3 weeks, my body said stop.

I currently spend most of the day laying down, getting completely exhausted after most activity. This includes mental activity.

I'm a little scared by it all, and simultaneously bored and exhausted. I can feel fairly normal one second, then make a simple dinner, and spend the rest of the day with exhaustion, headaches and generally feeling unwell.

My sister collected toy mice -- all kinds, from everywhere any of the family traveled. I inherited them after she passed away, and I would now like to find a home for them. If you or someone you know would like a hundred or more of these, ranging in size from as big as my thumb to a foot tall, please let me know. They meant a lot to her; I would like them to be loved and cared for.

Hearing my wife laugh as she talks to a friend or sees something funny.

Second best: when I hear her playing with the cat and they are both obviously enjoying themselves.

Reflecting on my last post. It’s such a strange aspect to transness, the way you end up celebrating things that for everyone else would be utterly unnoticeable. Wearing a swimsuit. are there any git tools out there that use the reflog in an unusual or creative way, for example to show you an animation of your branch's history?

been thinking about how the reflog has a lot of useful information in it, but by itself it's SUCH an unfriendly interface. Feels like people must be trying to build nicer interfaces on top of it.

even just using the reflog to tell you how out of date origin/main is in git status would be cool
