My birthday gift from Husband & the kids is a new HP laptop. I haven't had a real computer other than my phone for 5+yrs. I need a laptop for school. I've been using it all weekend. My major complaint - you can't adjust the font color and the font color currently in use is too light. I need black. It's a light blue. It makes it really hard to see anything in screen. I can't do dark mode, that gives me headaches.

How do i fix this? #computer #accessibility

I'm honestly not bitter that my mother & sister traveled 6+ hours to attend my niece's graduation when they wouldn't drive 35 minutes for my son's graduation last year. There's a small part of my brain that is screaming YOU SHOULD BE ANGRY. But for my own happiness, I'm choosing to let it go. I hope they have a safe trip.

Anyone want to share their opinions on #SewingMachines? I may be interested in buying a new one. I have a 20 yr old Janome that is so loud I can't use it when anyone is home because they complain. It's also cranky & I could never get it to make good stitches consistently. I want to make my own clothing & since this is probably a passing fancy, I'd like to not pay an arm & a leg for it. (Maybe a second hand deal?) I don't mind an older machine and I don't want anything computer-y. #craft #sewing

Slept 4.5 hours last night. Get Younger Kidlet on the bus, clean up the morning breakfast stuff, settle to fall back to sleep... just about to drift off & the phone rings. The school doesn't want him because the doctor's note we gave them stated that he is to be excused yesterday and today. I just picked him up & now husband is annoyed with the school but I get the brunt of it.

I'm so fucking tired and drained. I've been running on fumes for weeks now & I'm done with it all.

At er with Younger Kidlet. He fell of his bike & landed on his chin. He got 3 stitches there & his jaw is broken in 2 parts. Waiting to talk to the surgeon. His lips are cut & he's randomly spitting pieces of asphalt out of his braces. Going to be a long night.

I went for a 40 minute walk outside & got my 5500 steps in. Last week was not ideal, not for #KickingTheShitOutOfPOTS. This week I'll do better. Starting today. And if I still fail, I'll make changes. I'm tired again. I had so much energy before Covid in Feb. My body is fighting me again & I'm tired. I'm going to row just 10 minutes. After I row, I'll do 10 minutes of pilates. That makes an hour of exercise & THAT I consider a decent day at the gym. Strap in, kids. Let's row. #DarkHorseRowing

My mother & sister sold their house & are downsizing a bit. They're going through old photos & found one of me, my sister & my dad from my hs graduation, 1992. That was one of the last times I was happy to see him. We were estranged for 16 years before he passed, and only spoke very occasionally before that. He didn't come to my wedding. And he didn't acknowledge either son's birth.

I would never abandon my kids. I think he's such an asshole for doing that to me.

I did not want to walk so I went for a walk. (Lol. I'm such a brat to myself.) Got 5200 steps in so far today. 33 minutes in the late winter sun while it was setting. Chilly. I should have worn gloves. I firmly believe the only reason why I didn't experience SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) this winter is because I'm walking outside so frequently. Snow, rain, sun, hail. I've always walked on the treadmill at the gym & silently wanted to die 3 months out of the year.

6900 steps for the day. Not bad. I had to argue with myself to get on the rower after my walk. Glad I did it. I was sloppy but it felt good to empty the tank. To do Pilates after? It felt like I was getting energized. It's time to start getting myself back on track. I'm tired. I know I am. But that's not the way to being healthy again. Movement is.

Day by day I'm going to get healthier. I can take tomorrow off if I don't feel 100%. Must remember to show myself grace. #KickingTheShitOutOfPOTS

I haven't touched my husband in a week, despite sharing a house. It's the longest I've ever not touched him, when he was here, including when he had Covid in December. 2 weeks, 13 days really, was the longest we've ever been apart, when he traveled for work short after we got married 20 yrs ago. I miss him more now than I did then.

Husband says it's safe for me to walk the driveway so I'm going to attempt to get a 20 minute walk in. I did my 20 minutes of #rowing & 20 minutes of #Pilates already. I suspect that I won't hit my 7k step count, but if I can get close I'll be happy. Yay, exercise.
