Husband says it's safe for me to walk the driveway so I'm going to attempt to get a 20 minute walk in. I did my 20 minutes of & 20 minutes of already. I suspect that I won't hit my 7k step count, but if I can get close I'll be happy. Yay, exercise.

Ich mach gerade mal 50 Min. .

Today I made a 10 min run to go do an hour of pilates, then 10 min again back home.
I still have sensations in my left calf, but I wouldn't label it as pain. Progress??
Though even within those super short runs, I could feel the endurance I lost, which saddens me. I still don't feel comfortable going for a run; I'll keep walking for the next few days, maybe a 3-4 km Friday or this weekend?

Also, shout out to ! What a great cross training activity! Stability muscles everywhere! Yeah!

I also reduced my beta blocker to 1 pill/day. I'll do this until my body feels no longer totally out of control. That should be 7-9 days, then I'll start taking it every other day. My heart rate is all over the place still but as long as I sit down if I start feeling buzzy in the head, I feel like it's ok. Once the propranolol is totally out of my system I should be able to ramp my workouts up & my system won't be battling pharmaceuticals.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

25 mins of with on YT this morning. I woke up feeling like I needed movement. I have tonight so I didn't want to do too much. No propranolol today & my resting heart rate is 80, which is disappointing. It bumps up to 120+ for no reason, then settles back down to high 80s, low 90s after a minute or two. Some day my nervous system will not be a complete asshole. I look forward to it.

Got a quick in: 346 strokes in 19 mins. I also learned a tabata means, which is, Heidi can't breathe. 🤣 will be the death of me.

Now that it's fall/winter our wood stove is cranking in the living room (aka my & studio) so I may have to reevaluate my set up. With it's very easy to get overheated quickly & without warning, which can lead to sudden onset of other symptoms. But there's no other TV I can work out in front of.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

35 mins of .

If you've never done it I say give it a try, especially if you're a . I never would have thought I could do it but I started small- my first few YT classes were 10-15 mins long & there were times that really were uncomfortable. Consistency is key. Keep showing up for yourself. If you can't do 10, shut it off at the 5-7 minute mark. You'll progress. Just keep showing up for yourself. (I guess this is the motivation I was looking for.)

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Did 30 minutes of this morning. My body was screaming at me to move as I drank my tea so I listened to it. I have food bank with clients at 10 so I didn't want to do too much. Because the pilates class had so much arm/shoulder work I'm tight in the shoulders, upper back & neck now but I'll loosen up as my morning progresses (I hope.)

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Yesterday I did 30 minutes of and cleaned my messy freaking house, which always used to knock me on my ass (literally, I would need to go to bed after.) Today I did 500 strokes in 27 minutes (new class with - interval training 💪), 30 minutes of Pilates and 30 minutes of gentle stretching. Dude. 90 minutes is a solid . I'm proud of myself. Kicking my week off right. Up next- ramen with the family. Sundays are too short.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

30 minutes of , then I tried 20 minutes of a new class- Posture & Balance. It's geared towards seniors but it was still a challenge. When you have a deconditioned body it seems like an impossible hill to climb so I made a list of things I wanted to work on months ago. Balance was at the top. I thought if I could just improve one thing I wrote down I'd be happy. Now I'm almost to the point of needing a new list! Ha!

Yesterday was a rest day, although I did hit my 5k step count. This morning I did 30 minutes of . Everyone is still asleep so I put in earphones, started the workout video (with sound on) on my phone, then started it with volume off on the TV. I can't hear great so if I used the TV's volume the whole neighborhood would be awake. There's no way I'm rowing so that will have to wait until I get home from the office.

Heidiknits,

Yesterday- rest day since my brain was a nest of angry bees. Today is not as bad so I did 30 minutes of stretches with some poses (down dog still kills my wrists, palms & fingers... Ouch, so tight) & 30 minutes of with Move with Nicole. I should row. The sun is on that side of the house & will be in my face if I attempt it now. Not what my brain needs. I should go for a walk. It's a cold but sunny day. I could use fresh air & sunlight.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

My this morning was overly warm, even with the window open to the 40°f air. 25 minutes of & 35 of . I didn't thoroughly enjoy the rowing class, partly due to a repeated tendon click in my right hip. It came & went the entire time. It made me timid until I learned that it didn't hurt. I still worked as hard as I could but it wasn't a satisfying emptying of energy like it should be. I may attempt a walk later & I still need to do balance work.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Hopping on the mat. Plan is 30 minutes of , 30 stretches, 10 mins for balance exercises.

I noticed yesterday that I did a lot- more than an hour workout, food bank, 6k+ steps, emptied dishwasher (was my least favorite chore... Dishes are heavy & it's a lot of bending & stretching, now- no big deal), vac & mopped entire 1st floor, 5 loads of laundry- all without needing to rest or nap. 6 months ago a day like this would have needed 2 days recovery.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Did this AM & rowed 340 strokes in 16 minutes this afternoon. Technically, I believe we can count this as a two-a-day.

I sort of wish I took measurements before starting this endeavor. 5 lbs to go & I'll be at my preCovid lockdown/POTS treatment weight. The scale wasn't a motivation for these workouts but I'm not going to complain about being able to fit in the jeans that make my ass look fantastic again. (Every pear shaped woman should own at least one pair!)

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

I got my done. Started strong but my legs were fried by the end. 430 strokes in 23 minutes. Went up a notch to level 5 in resistance, which probably explains why my quads hate me.

Also did 35 minutes of . Feeling strong on the mat. I'm doing intermediate movements to challenge myself when I'm watching beginner level. I'll have to look for more in-between classes. I'm now confident that my body is ready to do more. Just got to be brave enough to try.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Did 30 minutes of and 30 minutes of . I got energy for days but I'm sore so no rowing. I'm at 3869 steps but it's dark out. Do I dare go out and get my step count up to 5k? Yeah, I think I will. It should only take 10-15 minutes and it will be in my long driveway so I don't have to worry about cars.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Yesterday was a rest day, but I still got my 5k steps in though (today, too). Shall I be brave and bump my step count up to 5500 on the ol' ? 🤣

This morning I did 30 mins of with the intention of rowing this afternoon but I was too sore. My back/shoulders are so tight. Heating pad helping but rest is better. Onward, tomorrow!

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Yesterday I did & stretches (plus lessons, yeehaw! ... No one yeehaws at square dancing. Just me. 🤣🤣)

Today I'm hell bent on abuse apparently, because although I'm migraining I did 25 minutes of for 511 strokes, walked 20 minutes & did yoga stretching for 35 minutes. Took me awhile to get my mind in the right place for rowing but once I got going I put solid work in.

Tomorrow I need to weight train, get 5k steps & maybe pilates.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Workout done. 470-something strokes in 26 minutes but that's a lie because made me do arms only, then arms & hips only, for many minutes & my machine doesn't count those. No hip tendon clicks, tons of power in the legs. Strong. Did 35 mins of level 1 . Again, felt strong. Attempted yoga stretching & I fell apart after 15-20 mins. Food bank kicked my ass earlier so no complaints. 82 zone minutes for the day so far.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Workout done. 25 minute row for 520 strokes, 20 mins & 35 minute stretching. Felt strong & angry, lol. I ate dinner & now I need a shower. I got under 2k steps today but 81 active zone minutes on the so I'm not complaining. I need to get a meditation in to settle myself further. Too cold to take a bath or I'd do it there.

Heidiknits,
@Heidiknits@mastodon.social avatar

Got my 6000 steps in, mostly at the food bank. 2000 of them were in the driveway though. The sun was shining but chilly today. Did 25 minutes of level 1 with Move with Nicole & about 20 minutes of stretching.

I'm nauseous today & the mat work was making it worse. I've felt off since last night's heavy holiday dinner when my stomach suddenly said, "Not One More Bite." I haven't really felt hungry since.

Another day, some more progress. Up to 76 seconds of plank (for an actual second, I though I'd make it to 80, but nope), stretching, 25 pushups, and then out for 1km of fast walking, switching to 7km of , and then grocery shopping before wandering home. Busy day in the home office, and I have a meeting out in the world soon.

Good plank !
On one of my non-running days I do a Pilates session. Today's class included 3 x 40 second planks with 20 seconds rest between. Exhausting.
