#WordWeavers 6 Jan: MC POV: What would you ask a genie if you feared they might trick you?

As I do with all unknowns. I would first ask this person if they would like some tea.

I would aim to start a conversation and ask if they enjoy granting wishes. It’s a strange calling to say the least so I would ponder on what may have happened to this powerful being that lead him or her to dedicate their time and effort this but I would not risk all that is for a wish.

No, but I have judged a few art and poetry competitions.

Trying to force creative endeavors into a hierarchy is, in my view, inherently flawed.

Granted you can spot things like minimal effort or incomplete works but with enough submissions you will always have a wide array of diverse works that qualify. From there it's totally subjective. Comparing such works is like pondering what is better, a shoe or a sandwich.

Unless you're writing in Latin, it's fine.

I honestly find it much more problematic if you adhere to outdated grammatical rules that counter the flow and readability of a text.

Literature already has a long history of adhering to such pointless rules just to exclude people. Lets not do that anymore.

It is veritably pronounced that I exploit a lexicon of synonyms on a diurnal basis. I have unveiled an abundance of intriguing linguistic units in this endeavor, inducing a modicum sentiment of fond dependency.
Occasionally, it's challenging to effectuate cessation of this. Help! The thesaurus has infested my cerebrum! Moreover, the linguistic unit perpetually evokes imagery of a prehistoric beast composed of literary compilations.

One of the MCs will have to finally concede that he will have a future. He was always certain that he was about to be assassinated and so, vowed to go out fighting for the future of others. But now that the devotion and strength of people close to him have become blatantly obvious, even to his oblivious eyes, he will have to invest in his own future and well-being. With some subtle hints, that would be his resolution.
