After 118 days, the SAG-AFTRA strike is over, with Hollywood looking to be back to work in about two weeks should the voting members ratify the deal. Unfortunately several shows that were to debut in 2023, including St. Denis Medical, Dr. Wolf and Matlock, have been pushed to the 2024-2025 season.

"Night Court" alum Richard Moll has died at 80. No cause of death was given. Moll is best known as bailiff Bull Shannon, but he had a long career as a character actor on film and TV, as well as voice work on animated series "The Adventures of Batman & Robin" and "Spider-Man: The Animated Series".

Actor Richard Roundtree, best and forever known as John Shaft in three 1970s blaxploitation films, a short-lived 1973 TV series, the 2000 reboot and its 2019 sequel, has died at 81 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. According to her friend and co-star Kathryn L. Scott, actress and author Lara Parker passed away on October 12. Parker is best known as Angelique on classic soap "Dark Shadows" and feature film "Night of Dark Shadows", and has written several novels based on the series and its characters. She would have turned 85 on October 27.

Although it's been one of the worst-kept secrets in TV land, it was made official today at New York Comic-Con that Melissa McBride will return as Carol for Season 2 of the newly retitled "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol". The series is one of the few with a SAG-AFTRA agreement, and will debut in 2024.

The WGA and the AMPTP have reached a tentative agreement to end the 146 day strike. Late night and daytime talk shows will be able to return almost immediately because they are not considered struck work by SAG-AFTRA which is still on strike.
