"Young Sheldon" may be ending, but "The Big Bang Theory" universe is expanding with CBS greenlighting a new comedy series featuring "Young Sheldon"'s Georgie and Mandy raising their young family in Texas. Montana Jordan and Emily Osment have signed on to reprise their roles.

HBO has renewed anthology series "True Detective" for a fifth season, with Issa López, who just signed an overall deal with the network, returning as showrunner. The fourth season, 'Night Country', has become the most-watched of the entire series (in spite of creator Nic Pizzolatto's criticism on social media).

Crisis averted! Production on the remaining episodes of Season 3 of Apple TV's "Foundation" will resume March 6 after a production shutdown due to budget and other issues. A casualty of the cuts is David S. Goyer, who will complete his writing services and remain as exec producer, but will not direct any further episodes of Season 3.

Stephen Amell has been cast in the lead role in the pilot for NBC's "Suits" spin-off, "Suits L.A." Amell will play Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles.
