I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Ginza seemed to feel the same, she just wanted to remain curled up against me and snoozing.

Weird dreams about being back at places where I used to work. A person asked me if I were pregnant. I said I wasn't, that I was just holding a pumpkin under my blouse with my hands.

Supposed to get sunny today though it won't really warm up until Thursday. But at least there'll be sunshine.

I think I dreamed that because when I fell asleep last night, I was on my left side and Ginza was curled up in front of my stomach. I had my right hand on top of her, she likes that now.

So I guess she's a pumpkin.

I've awakened early but I went to bed early last evening and had a 90 minute nap in the early afternoon too, so I hope it'll be ok today.

Weather is still quite chilly and damp. Wet really. Maybe I take an easy walk today, maybe I don't. It' s hard to judge sometimes whether it's better to rest more or walk to help circulate blood and help with nutrients getting distributed around the body.

Coming Saturday it's a big anniversary date for events that brought Ginza and me together.

Today is supposed to be the last full day of rain. Tomorrow there'll be morning showers and then clearing in the afternoon, but still cool with temps only in mid 50s.

Then Wednesday, sunshine, temps climbing into the 60s. Then the 3 days after that will have sunshine and temps climbing into the 70s. I'll be so happy if that happens.

I'm not entirely sure about that. I really really like warm weather, like temps up in the 80s, and even back where I lived, the last time I used air conditioning at home was late summer 2016.

If it gets mid to upper 90s with high humidity, then I start to get uncomfortable.

Ginza was sitting up on the bed but instead of her usual looking out the window, she had been looking at my back as I was at the work computer.

I went over to say hi to her and she headbutted me hard on the nose. She really loves to headbutt to show her affection. She's like a little bulldozer with her head.

Yikes, I was getting upset because I couldn't find a USB cable I needed for something. But finally I found it when I looked at the weird place I had put it so as not to forget where I had put it.

Slept in til 530 this morning.

Weather is going to be wet today, but I hope to find a less wet time to walk about 30 minutes and get blood to circulate.

Need to figure out an unpacking task or two to take on today.

Ginza, of course, remains the best cat in the world.

Got the dresser moved into the bedroom, so now I can work on unpacking clothes and putting those in the drawers.

Also have chicken thighs cooking.

Feeling low on spoons today, I might not do much else besides the dresser, clothes, and cooking to get food prepared for the next few days of meals.

Getting the dresser into my new bedroom already is helping to make it feel more like my room now.

Though Ginza is none too happy about seeing changes taking place again. She has gone sulking under the bed.

Probably not going to take a walk today. It's miserably wet and chilly out there and I feel tired. If it were warm and sunny, I could enjoy taking a slow walk around, but today I'd only feel miserable in those conditions.

Maybe tomorrow...

Walking is good but taking a day off is not going to hurt me here and now.

In contrast to the clarity of the photo of Ginza in the prior toot, here were other less than successful attempts to take a close up photo of her while she was snuggled down in a blanket and underneath Dinker Donkers the stuffed dinosaur.

She really is. Her fur and markings when you start looking at them closely are spectacular. I've never taken care of a tabby cat like her before. Sometimes I feel like they help make her eyes get really intense when she looks at me.

I've showered.

Brain should be better today although the overcast skies and light rain will be a damper on my mood.

Getting ready to run errands for supplies.

Been here for over a month now and starting to form a map in my head, but at times I feel some sort of lost in how I don't feel I have familiar places from my past nearby. A sense of disconnection and being unmoored.

Last night I woke briefly and thought about Longwood Gardens and a sadness that I didn't have time and energy

Took a nap in the early afternoon.

But had some energy when I got up and with that, I've unpacked the home computer and its accessories and have reassembled it except for the speakers. Had a scary part where it seemed like the hard drive had died, but I thought about things, checked all the cables, reset them, and still nothing.

Uh oh.

But then I thought more and checked the memory chips, resetting them.

And success, with the memory seated properly, the hard drive got to boot up.

Nice to have the large 2 screens of a desktop again. The Macbook's small screen was pretty good for one made 15 years ago, but it was still tough for my older eyes in some ways. Plus it's nice to get back to my usual layout of windows.

I woke up early early, about 230, but it's Friday.

Need to keep today on the easy side and when I take a walk after work, it'll be only 30 to 40 minutes and at a slow pace.

Ginza is the best cat in the world.

Supposed to be mild today but clouds are going to roll in and then comes a stretch of gray days, but maybe next week the more summer like pattern starts to take hold and sunnier warmer days become more consistent and frequent.

It seems most likely the Amazon driver had to have been in an accident. On Saturday morning, my order updated to saying it was probably lost and I could cancel and ask for a refund. So I did that and resubmitted a new order for the 2 items which got delivered Saturday afternoon.
