@milkteawitch @actuallyautistic regarding your question: I would add from personal experience, that in addition to info dumping, I like listening to other Autistics info dump too, even if they have different special interests than I do. For most special interests, I'm usually able to adopt (at least temporarily) other people's for conversation and connection.

mastodon would do so much better if they'd just call instances "neighborhoods" and said that you should pick your neighborhood based on your interests, so that if you look out your window you'll see your neighbors doing things you find interesting. and that it's okay if you find out you don't like your neighborhood, because you can just move to another one! and all your followers will move with you

and then, yanno, make it easier to search for people you wanna follow cause that shit just sucks

@yourautisticlife @actuallyautistic I tend to agree with all of your points. Plus, an additional point: The sale prices are often not really reduced prices at all. They usually jack up the prices the week before so they can pretend they're offering you a great discount when they lower it to the original price.

Also, I try to resist buying items I wouldn't have otherwise bought in the first place. If I didn't need widget X before, I don't need it just because it's on sale.

Does anyone else think gendered superhero names are weird? That has got to be the only group of characters I've ever come across where the creators feel the need to include "man", "woman", "boy", or "girl" in the name. Even decades ago that seemed weird.
