@stux more and more paywalls arent bypassable anymore. or they force u to track your every footstep to sell your soul to advertisers if you want to use their sites.

heck Netflix, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Disney+, Paramount+, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, how much are we suppossed to pay per month nowadays? Next Windows turns into a subscription to not be bombarded with ads......
@stux Microsoft now is putting ads all over the place, increasing hardware requirements, installing their stuff without asking, installing updates without asking, appearently breaking non-MS browsers on Microsofts services bla bla bla......
@stux Lets not forget them blocking W10Privacy and similar, or StartAllBack and similar tools, Telemetry servers blocked in the hosts file get reset all the time bla bla bla

Also i meant overall well secured, not just on this yet again high severity security issue........
Somehow id like to dig into IT, maybe even somewhat security related or other things as hobbies but i just cant get to it im way too much occupied with trying to not let this household drown in dirt, debree and maintenance issues.....
Fingerprinting-Testseiten suggerieren oft, dass man eindeutig erkennbar ist. Das ist allerdings nicht entscheidend, sondern ob man über Surf-Sessions hinweg wiedererkennbar/verfolgbar ist. Der Tor-Browser, Mull oder auch Brave schneiden hierbei gut ab. Am Ende gilt aber auch: Lasst euch nicht verrückt machen. 😉

Noch 10 oder 15 Jahre, alles nur noch Cloud, die Firmen haben keine eigene IT mehr und Microsoft die volle Kontrolle.
Google, Amazon, Adobe, Apple usw. genauso

Wenn der Arbeitgeber einen zu MS365 zwingt? KI/AI/ML Tools ihre Daten Gott weiß woher holen zum trainieren? Selbst die eigene Bank Facebook und Google Tracker nutzt? Die Hälfte aller Hardware auf Linux nicht vollständig läuft oder nur eingeschränkt?

@stux Windows entire software update system is a total mess.
Windows Update, Windows Update for anything else than Windows itself, Drivers over Windows Update, Edge has its own updater, Microsoft Store runs updates, then dozends of third parties that have updaters running in the background 24/7 and so on and so on.....
Linux always did this way better with package managers but even there we now got Snaps, Flatpaks, AppImages, Packages, Web apps......
I guess its about time to stop caring about privacy. Big tech will win always anyway.
Lemme just pay for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and all that other stuff like everyone else is. Or at least open an account on all of those services just to be able to view them at all.

Now when i see that theres subscription related stuff being found in code of newer Windows Insider builds......
I mean cmon theres alternative OSes, softwares u name it out there but noone gives a damn appearently and rather pays overpriced, data hungry US based companies instead.
Just look at how much Windows and Office phone home all the time.....
