I’ve just started reading The Wager. I’m a sucker for ship based media, and I’m hoping this’ll be no exception....

For example, switching out the word ‘boot’ for ‘trunk’, or ditching the word ‘rubbish’ for ‘garbage’....

Two initially jump to mind for me....

Maybe it's that first PUBG victory, or becoming a Grand Champion on Rocket League. Maybe it's the time you got passed that awfully difficult level, or the time you actually got around to finishing your backlog....

I’m usually a C2 sort of guy, but through bad luck and (my own) poor performance, I’ve begun my Sunday morning with a B1. Whilst a bad start to the day, I’m determined not to let it ruin what could be a good Sunday....

I’ve been thinking about the PS1 game ‘Driver’ a lot recently. It’s a game I spent a lot of time on during my youth, and whilst I’m sure it doesn’t hold up some 20 years later, it was still a highlight from my ‘gaming youth’....

We’ve all got them, gaming pet-peeves. Maybe it’s the unskippable cutscene, or the poorly placed checkpoint that means you’ve got to sit through the aforementioned cutscene once again. Maybe it’s the end-game boss with a surprise second health-bar, or the random difficulty spike that doesn’t feel fair....

I bite off the top and scoop the inside out with my tongue like some sort of a filthy chocolate pervert....

Jurassic Park for me. I had an amazing JP jumper when I was like…maybe 6. It was far too big for me but I loved dinosaurs. Naturally this meant I wanted to watch the film because…well I’m 6 and it’s got dinosaurs....

I ask because I tend to jump off a book if It’s not grabbing me, which at times limits me with regards to what I’m reading....

Bettman says he’s okay if you want to bring back the rule against forward passes, he doesn’t mind if you want to revert to old-school icing, he just demends you keep it to one rule change; you know, evolution is better than revolution…...

I’ve been driving an automatic since I passed nearly a decade ago. In that time whenever I tell anyone I drive auto, it’s usually met with some level of derision. I think that attitude is changing, but I’m still kind of confused by it in the first place....

What’s the worst job you’ve ever had? What made it bad and how long did you last?

I’ve got a few so I’ll kick us off....

Context: Me and my partner went out for a meal last night. 7-9. The restaurant in question was absolutely heaving as you’d expect on a Friday night. And we got unfortunately positioned directly next to the offending group of maybe 10 adults and 3-4 young kids....

For context, I got mine done just over two years ago. No complications (as of yet…). I’ve also got two kids already....

I’d like to apologize to the entire country for allowing this to have happened. I’m sorry....

As their name suggests, forever (or evergreen) games are games that don’t have a finale or culmination, as in “The End”. These games have a very high replayability factor (meaning we enjoy playing them over and over again)....

I’ve put a bit of timber on but this is getting ridiculous. The only ones I’ve found that don’t shrink in the wash are graphic tees from Qwertee and the like....

I’ve never been much of a cook, but it’s something I’d love to try and get better at. I’ve got a growing family and as much as freezer food is serving them now, when they’re older I’d like to be able to cook them something genuinely nice.

My school banned Goosebumps books. At the time I remember being a massive fan of the series....
