I live in SF, and professionally I’m a learning scientist—at a research institute for a couple of decades, and now in industry (and, of course, my views are my own and not those of my company). Sometimes I may be found bike riding in the city or environs. Oh, and I was never on Twitter, so I’m not only learning mastodon, but figuring out the whole thing!

Now listening to:
Sunday Afternoon Drinking
~ The Seagulls ( @PhilV )

Solid rock song. Driving drums and guitar sweep you along, tapping your feet and bop you right into a vocal and organ solo that transitions to an amazing swinging crescendo. Very satisfying. Excellent song.

PhilV,

Thanks @dgar !!

Songwriters of Mastodon, tag me in a comment on your post about your original song so that I might have a listen and give it a boost!

PhilV,

@dgar I hope it counts if I’m not the songwriter! My wife is the drummer and co-writer for this original San Francisco band, The Seagulls: https://youtu.be/_VO1DDRFgKo. Also available wherever there is live streaming!

I have reached the age and disposition where I would like Katrina and the Waves to tone it the fuck down.

I just tried to "Like" an email so I didn't have to reply to it.

    PhilV,

@Skepticat as others have said, outlook now allows it. But as far as I can tell, it just means that at some point outlook sends a message to the original author saying that you liked it! So for the “liker“ it is easier, but for the original sender your “like” still clogs their inbox!

Engaging in , I was recently featured in this podcast on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in the design of educational environments: https://anchor.fm/humanslspod/episodes/Dr--Philip-Vahey---Houghton-Mifflin-Harcourt-The-Productive-Messiness-of-Interdisciplinary-Collaboration-e1ppqm8
