To paraphrase David Lee Roth “It doesn’t feel like almost 7:30 here on deck.” Whatever the case, this Woodford’s mighty tasty. 😉 #MusicOfMastodon #ClassicRock #1984
“I'm sick to death of people saying we've made 11 albums that sounds exactly the same, Infact, we've made 12 albums that sound exactly the same.” - Angus Young, AC/DC
Swedish band Goat, which I absolutely love. The alternative and experimental fusion music group originates—according to its own publicity—from Korpilombolo, Norrbotten County. The band started playing music when they were children, as part of a local community tradition, and there have been many incarnations of Goat who have recorded over the last "30 or 40 years". Also no one actually knows their identity! #jukebox https://youtu.be/pFRO5nc70to?si=vz2eWlXnwU8Ci4dX
I just wish it was all as easy as going for a soda. Life would just be so much easier for everyone. I played the HELL out of the studio version at my first radio gig when it popped up in ‘84. #MusicOfMastodon #ClassicRock #AkimboAlogo
Might As Well Go For A Soda
Nobody hurts and nobody cries
Might As Well Go For A Soda
Nobody drowns and nobody dies

In the summer of ‘76, wasn’t a day spent at the public swimming pool in Antigo, Wisconsin, without hearing something from “Frampton Comes Alive” on the pool’s sound system. #MusicOfMastodon #ClassicRock
It’s turning into a regular Saturday night party with this little boom box I got for $5 at a thrift store today (fuckin works great!) and these CDs I found downstairs. You guessed it - I’m easily amused. #MusicOfMastodon #90sPop #FeverInFeverOut
I remember watching the final Bing Crosby Christmas show with the classic Bing/Bowie duet. From the Gold Radio FB page. #MusicOfMastodon
“In 1977, shortly before BingCrosby's death, he teamed up with DavidBowie to record the duet 'Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy'. It remains one of the greatest festive duets of all time.
Bing said of Bowie that he was a ‘clean-cut kid and a real fine asset to the show. He sings well, has a great voice and reads lines well.’”
Because we’re all festive and shit here at work: in 1988, when my oldest boy Ryan was a toddler, his sister Jessica about eight months old and their younger brother Steven still about two years out, I was introduced to the first Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CD. I instantly fell in love and as the kids grew, it became a Christmas tune staple in our house. It’s those days when they were little I think of when I hear this. #MusicOfMastodon #MannheimSteamroller
I almost always do a Hanukkah set, and it got away from me this year. Tough year that won't take its foot off of the bulldozer's accelerator, alas. But I needs me Hanukkah set, so, belatedly, here she be... (Screw off, Grammarly.)
A Sunday morning jam with the coffee: one of those Beatles tunes John wrote and it was released as a single in early 1963 that in the years since, kinda disappeared from the “main stream.” Unless you’re a die-hard Beatles-type. #MusicOfMastodon #60sPop #PleasePleaseMe
