Some (mostly cisgender) folks have expressed surprise that I identify as #trans, but being #nonbinary IS transgender. We are not part of the cisgender binary, therefore we exist in a state of transition. Not everyone who identifies as nonbinary identifies as transgender and that's fine, but to me the two are inherently linked. This does not mean I'm changing into something new, or rather in a sense I always am.
@kitoconnell Seems obvious to me … but maybe that’s because both of my offspring are #enby and say that is #trans. I know that I have to keep learning.
@eniko So you’re saying nothing has changed in 45 years. I remember sitting at my Apple ][ writing the structure of my program in BASIC, but doing all the graphics routines in instant input assembler because otherwise everything was way too slow. And I felt the same way. Of course I was a high school student and only programming for me and my friends.
@BlackAzizAnansi propaganda can get to anyone. I think I’m less susceptible than most because of critical thinking skills. That and my wife will (figuratively) beat sense into me.
I helped cooks make trays of sandwiches & they buttered with a spoon, not a knife. It's fast, easier spread, & a good measure for the amount of spread you choose.
@Rasta@TywyllSeren but really I use both. For butter I use a knife. For jam, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, et cetera I use a spoon; sometimes I even use a demitasse spoon.
@eniko I loved 6502 assembly language 45 years ago. When you only have 4K of ram, it was the way to go. It was cool and fun. The only way to get usable speed and fit in memory.
