SparrowRanjitScaur,

Rising seas aside Florida has already been hit by some major hurricanes in recent years and hurricanes are predicted to just get worse with climate change.

Same for Rivian. Its IPO was at $78 per share, it climbed up to $130 and it’s at around $10 now.

Do you mean anti-theism? If you’re talking about people that actively oppose religion. Atheism is simply a lack of belief in theism.

I’m also not sure how communism relates either, unless you’re talking about secular societies that were communist and committed atrocities, such as Soviet Russia under Stalin. In Soviet Russia the state belief was atheism, but again, in their pursuit to eliminate religion I would argue that is really anti-theism.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

That and the fact that a lot of auto makers in the US only want to make luxury EVs.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

It’s not that simple. Yes, power lines do start a lot of fires, but climate change induced drought is the main cause of the scale and frequency of wildfires in California. If the conditions are right it’s only a matter of time until something sets it off.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with quitting on a high note. Not everything needs to be milked until people are sick of it.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

In theory, but if he tried to liquidate all of his Amazon stock at once it’s very unlikely he would get that much for it. The price of the stock would crash.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

You dab with toilet paper afterwards to dry. Bidets do still require toilet paper, but significantly less and they leave you significantly cleaner.

While the background radiation levels aren’t exceptionally dangerous and people do live in the exclusion zone, there are a large number of radioactive hotspots that could be extremely dangerous. They’re small pieces of the reactor core that were spread around by the explosion, and they’re extremely radioactive still. If you inhaled one or if you were to eat a plant or animal that had eaten/absorbed one it could do a significant amount of damage to you. Kyle Hill has some really good videos on this topic.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

This was hilarious. But would it kill you to use paragraphs?

Today's AI is unreasonable (www.anildash.com)

There’s an extraordinary amount of hype around “AI” right now, perhaps even greater than in past cycles, where we’ve seen an AI bubble about once per decade. This time, the focus is on generative systems, particularly LLMs and other tools designed to generate plausible outputs that either make people feel like the...

SparrowRanjitScaur,

You could do that with a few queries and a database lol. How do you think LLMs work? It seems you don’t know very much about them.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

I think that was a drug nicknamed bath salts. Not actual bath salts

Amazon's Hidden Chatbot Recommends Nazi Books and Lies About Amazon Working Conditions (www.404media.co)

An Amazon chatbot that’s supposed to surface useful information from customer reviews of specific products will also recommend a variety of racist books, lie about working conditions at Amazon, and write a cover letter for a job application with entirely made up work experience when asked, 404 Media has found.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

What’s up with Elaine’s change of tone? She was saying the condoms were great until Kramer came in, and then switched to saying she had a bad experience.

Oh ya, totally useless. Humans don’t derive any nutrition from milk. It just teleports through their body.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

I don’t think any food is naturally meant for us, but that doesn’t stop us from eating it. Humans are pretty good at digesting organic compounds for sustenance.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

Collusion plus the fact that a significant portion of food brands are owned by a handful of companies: botcrawl.com/…/Companies-Own-The-Food-We-Eat-Info…

They used supply chain issues as an excuse to raise the price of all of their products to obscene levels, and then never brought the prices back down after the supply chains resolved, if that even was a real issue in the first place. I guess they figured people don’t really have the option to just not buy food.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

I don’t get this point. I feel like Biden’s done a great job as president so far. He’s had a lot of tough issues to deal with as president and so far he’s handled everything really well.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

I understand that it was about the Israel/Hamas conflict. And I understand that many people disagree with the US supporting Israel and the way things have played out so far in Gaza. I wish the US would not get involved in conflicts in that region, but to me a single international policy isn’t enough to negate all of the good that I feel Biden has done during his presidency. I also believe that any Israelis that have committed war crimes should be held accountable.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

SparrowRanjitScaur,

What’s so crazy about that? It’s pretty far north, it’s pretty normal to have long sunlight hours in the summer up north. Northern BC doesn’t get any night time in the summer anyways. The darkest they get is nautical twilight. And they get almost 19 hours of sun.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

Everyone has said this about the younger generations for as long as humans have been around.

SparrowRanjitScaur,

Not really the same. The public gets a say in which art pieces are displayed in public. Museums exist for the preservation of history, good or bad.
