Millennial here. Your complaints are absolutely justified. FWIW, I fucking love zoomers. At the workplace, y’all are consistently the happiest (infectiously so!), while simultaneously refusing to just bend over and take the bullshit that the rest of us have been conditioned into. We lost or never had the self respect that zoomers wield like fucking armor.

Can’t really pitch a good outlook for things like the climate disaster or neonazis coming out of the woodwork. We’re kinda fucked there. And you’re fucked even harder. And your kids are beyond fucked. Etc.

But even within the turd this planet is becoming, there are still a few gems. YOU give me a hope that not much else does now-a-days: if we can survive long enough to meaningfully tackle the climate, then we can tackle the toxic elements of our society too, and y’all are already pros at that.

Is there a way to set up multiple user profiles for the same phone, activated by different prints/PINs?

Then you could have your main profile unlocked by like your ring finger print; but if you scan your thumb or index, it’ll unlock basically a dummy account with some bullshit apps and contacts and nothing else.

Like the phone equivalent of a throw wallet with a few bucks and an expired credit card or two so you have something to surrender in the event of getting mugged, without losing anything of actual value.

They’re tiptoeing around what the vandals are by using mitigating language. It’s journalistic dishonesty. It’s the same kind of shit as headlines about Matt Gaetz “sleeping with a minor” or calling the Jan 6th insurrection a “protest” or “riot”, or headlines that use softer or harsher wording to describe the same actions by people of different races.

They’re technically true. They all make it clear what they’re reporting on. But they do it in a way that mitigates or elevates the implied severity of the crime.
