One of the primary methods Hitler employed to control the media was censorship. Upon assuming power, he established the Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda.
The Ministry implemented strict censorship policies, ensuring that only content aligned with Nazi ideology was allowed to be disseminated. Any dissenting voices or information critical of the regime were met with threats of sovereign rights, property and freedom of speech suppressed, those who were found guilty were often eliminated altogether.
I ask because I have tried both and neither consistently find destinations I need, and when they do, they don’t route me there in the fastest or most efficient way possible. My first experience with Organic Maps, for instance, tried to turn what was usually a 4 hour drive into a nearly 6 hour drive. I used Google Maps to get...
For me it’s at its best when using it offline and without decent phone signal. I mostly use it off the beaten track, cycling, hiking and when needing to understand the terrain. I wouldn’t use it as a substitute for Google maps or Waze though.
I would look to someone such as Michael Bazzell, he has a great podcast "the privacy, security and OSINT show. He offers loads of information on privacy and can advise on what you are looking for. Check his website : inteltechniques.com/index.html
Fantastic! I have a question regarding the app. I understand that it can translate words and text from pictures, but I also noticed a microphone feature which I assume is for voice dictation. How does the app process voice input? Is the voice data sent to a server for translation, and if so, who is responsible for handling this data?
Thanks for this, yeah I also looked at the privacy policy on GitHub and it was pretty well bare bones. I haven’t ever used the voice to text function nor the dictation abilities on my phone due to Google services having mostly a monopoly over crunching the data. I know that now days we are starting to see more A.I driven services, and I’d admit that I am not 100% in the know, but I’d assume that Google will be handling this part of the translation as it’s reliable and free.
I have a man cold and taking my usual bowl of chicken soup washed down with a Lemsip Max but now I’m thinking… if the main ingrediant of a Lemsip is paracetamol, why don’t I just have a paracetamol? It’d cost alot less....
In my country Lemsip Max Cold and Flu Capsules contain a few other ingredients, I’m not sure if they are the same with yours. They say they contain a combination of paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride, and caffeine. I think that the combo helps with congestion as well, and obviously if it has caffeine, so it’ll give you a buzz (never in a great way in my opinion) - Basic Paracetamol works for the pain and fever part. It is commonly used to alleviate symptoms such as headache, muscle aches, sore throat, and fever.
Come on its a walk in the park, everyone knows that Nanosheet GAA transistors behave differently than familiar FinFETs, so EDA and other tool and IP makers had to build their products from scratch. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Silencing the media can be accomplished through several methods, such as censorship, self-censorship, and prior restraint by a controlling state or government. By leveraging this power, an entity can more easily manipulate the narrative and stifle dissenting voices, thereby directing the flow of propaganda. If we introduce the notion of being anti-Semitic and the fear of being perceived as racist, it becomes even easier for genocide to commence.

Yeah I was being a bit facetious I admit and I agree what you said is 100%. No data is safe these days and I guess I was trying to outline the fact that signing up to privacy.com is no different than signing up to a new banking institution. It’s who and what you trust in the end and for what it’s worth, privacy.com has a great concept and it would be a great option to use if trying to avoid personalcredit card scams and fraudulent activity.
Great governance! let’s allocate more taxes offshore, meanwhile the Pentagon failed a fifth consecutive audit last November, when it could only account for 39 percent of its $3.5 trillion in assets. Nevertheless, the military received $858 billion which is only 10% increase in the last omnibus spending bill, for the record this is not a partisan issue.
The military industrial complex is a money sponge, the Fed cries inflation worries while misappropriating funds and the border wall is simply a distraction, these multifaceted spending bills have become an absurd slush fund source for both sides of the aisle.

There are plenty of third party apps for Lemmy on Android/iPhone or Web, but are there any decent apps built for desktop use? Is it just simply a matter of relying on a web interface currently, or are there any well rounded apps out there that are worth mentioning.
Yeah I know, I am interested in the privacy side of things as well, so having a Mozilla based privacy centric browser on top of using lemmy on the web sounds like a great approach for me.
Thanks for this, it’s an interesting option, I tried it on my M1 Mac and it’s pretty close to what I was hoping for. Using a web app and browser for me doesn’t always work well when I decide to shut down and clear my cookies, this will always force me to sign in again.
