Wow! I wasn’t expecting so much feedback thanks! I will post some pictures once I get this flour corn starch off my hands. Gotta freeze a few then I’ll fry some up also… Oh and I will share the filling recipe too. It’s certainly a labor of love with my wife. 🙂
Thanks for the link, the part about disabling Ad privacy in Android is also helpful, I had no idea about this and all of it was turned on after the last os update.
First it was Chat Control, and the US was flirting with it’s KOSA reform, now with elDAS 2.0 this all seems like global whac-a-mole for privacy. I read that elDAS was subject to approval behind closed doors in Brussels on November 8, What happened?
Surveillance capitalism is now the main goal of big tech and really this article outlines some great points. The psychology of the reward system we desire when using social media is now becoming a talking point with law makers, however I am worried any laws made to curb these companies will result in simply eroding our privacy more.
Some great points here, shedding light on how companies like Google, Microsoft, and Apple are making money from our data through (IoT) technology.
They’re not only selling us devices infused with their apps, but they’re also using our data to continually profit. As users we are like data farms, working for free in their schemes to suck up our privacy and us, the consumer, only pays for this intrusion.
It’s a double-dip way of making money off of us for sure, but I was surprised to find out in the end that the article was an ad for an independent operating system and device manufacturer. It’s a move in the right direction of course.
I think that was Chat Control legislation that eventually didn’t pass in the E.U (thankfully in my opinion). Under the guise of “think of the children” it was going to be a privacy nightmare.
Oh yes the Chinese Communist Party, the cake and eat it too party, where it somehow is able to access global markets and benefit from international trade rules, freely able to meddle in international affairs while embellishing its own interests.
It’s mind blowing how the desperation of late stage capitalism allows the CCP to operate within these frameworks.
I wish this was pineapple, I have no problem with it myself but as I’m making pizzas for my friends right now, and the subject of pineapple & pizza is in full swing, it would make for a perfect meme. 🤌
He’s an apple cart upsetter, who knows how much these independent candidates will dilute the votes for the historical right/left. I hope I’m wrong, but Manchin may just be the antidote for the moderate vote at this point.
I’m sure its common knowledge by now that whatever you write in text boxes on customer support chats can be seen by whoever is on the other side, without or before hitting send. Don’t you think that’s a breach of privacy?! I imagine it isn’t too difficult to implement a fix for it: The browser (like Firefox) could choose...
I always think of the saying “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it”, this is a simplified version.
The original quote is “It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt” and it is often attributed to Abraham Lincoln, but that part is debatable.
Solving crime is a huge concern for our society, but it should not be accomplished by violating our privacy. Instead, we should focus on improving society so that people don’t have the reason to become criminals in the first place.
There are so many questions to be asked about this legislation; it’s about control, it’s poorly implemented and dystopian in its execution, and it certainly is not solely about protecting children. But in the end of the day, it looks like the freedom of the world wide web will be the new digital albatross nobody had ever dreamed it would be.

Shouldn't browsers protect what users write from being seen by the website (like customer support chats) before hitting send? Would it be difficult to implement?

Is there a way to make an interface or to use an app like Signal so your texts can't get "legally intercepted" via bluetooth from all car manufacturers?
They deemed it legal for all car manufacturers that any text you send through their system are free for them to read.
