Obligatory “the #ChristmasTree is up!”photo for #Christmas2023.
Now it’s time to park my backside on the sofa, and get stuck into a nice coffee and some tasty stroopwafels. ♥️ #Christmas
We knew the day after the hill climb would be a write-off for me, so planned for that. Instead it’s screwed me for near enough three days. NO REGRETS! Today we drove to the beach at Seilebost. The autumn high tides are receding and more sand is becoming visible. Happy days. ♥️ #WesternIsles#IsleOfHarris#Seilebost#Photography#Photo
It's been a tricky day here on the #IsleofWight as we had torrential rain overnight and no serious weather warning until it was too late. These photos were taken by my friend Arron in his way to work. They show the bus station, railway line and hovercraft terminal all submerged in floodwater. I don't think we'll have any trains running for a while!! This is 10 mins walk from home. Fortunately we stayed dry. Our kitchen did get flooded a couple of years back.
@sharongascoigne I feel for you. I can only imagine what it’s like living with the risk of flooding. This is our fourth time in Harris, spread over 14 years. I’ve never seen tides this high. Not sure what’s going on. Weather events are becoming even more unpredictable and severe. Anyway, try not to worry. Hopefully all will be okay.
@sharongascoigne Thank you. That’s nice of you to say. 🙂 I haven’t been able to bring my DSLR this year because it needs repaired. Having to make do with my phone.
How did you get on last night? Is everything okay?
Eight months later, and with a few hundred records having moved on, you’d think this restructure would be done by now. Far from it. It’s going to take until the end of the year and possibly another couple of months beyond that. 🤷🏻♂️🤪 #Vinyl#VinylRecords#VinylCollection
@sharongascoigne I get to move on to the four overflow Kallax units after this part is finished. It’s become an irksome, tiring chore, Sharon. 🙁 It will be worth it though!
We had quite a #lightning show to the east of the #IsleofWight last night.
My husband found it virtually impossible to photograph as most of the lightning was shrouded in the clouds. Lots of flashes but few forks to capture.
Sometimes I just want the hits. #NowSpinning ‘Abba Greatest Hits Vol.2’, released in 1979. And I hope loud enough to piss off the abject twat across the road. So many fabulous songs … and ‘Rock Me’. I have such fond memories of this LP playing on my dad’s stereogram when I was a boy. ♥️ #Vinyl#VinylRecords#VinylCollection#NowPlaying
