I've been a digital community organizer who specializes in coordinating #MutualAid for disabled people via group fundraising & events.

I attempted to exist outside capitalism after a 20 year career in digital marketing, which ended when I was hospitalized for #COVID19 & cancer. I never recovered.

3 months ago I couldn’t raise the difference between my income & the money I need to… I guess stay alive.

I know, dramatic. But I’ve run out of credit cards to put the $1k/mo gap on.

And I HAVE to pay it

  • no chemo meds means untreated stage 4 cancer & dying in ~ 6 months.

In case you missed my last update, in February 2022, I got , COVID Pneumonia specifically.

With it returned the cancer I had beaten less than five years prior to active status.

I beat some pretty incredible odds so you can imagine my dismay. But that’s why I tried to avoid it so much. And I was fine until the state of TX made sure it got into my house every way they could.

Almost didn’t make it out of my bedroom,

the ambulance couldn’t pull away before stabilizing me,

then they took me to the wrong hospital but the admitting physician refused to let them move me,

convinced I would die on the way.

It was bad.

Since then I’ve been unable to work even part time. I was in the middle of a come back when I was hospitalized, adding to my grief & loss.

has also brought me - which has resulted in the worst fatigue of my life.

If I could get my GFM funded in under a month (like I had to watch a racist who attacked me on burdchan do TWICE in three days for more $$!)

Not 1 in 10 PEOPLE. Infections. Some are asymptomatic. Half of Long COVID infections lead to ME.

What happens if you get infected 10 times? A hundred?

There’s proof now that every infection weakens your system.

If there’s one thing I hate the most about the / / Cancer mix?

It’s how I sometimes have to walk away from things unfinished to see why

  • I’ve made the oxygen machine beep
  • my pulse is suddenly racing
  • one of the apps one on of my monitors is beeping.

I’m glad I have warning systems and pacing but I also know this is no way to live.

In the story I’m writing,

I chose the speculative fiction genre so I could explore what happens

when a woman lives life without the pressure of putting falling in love or having children at her center of her life.

I was able to live that way because I thought I’d die of the cancer I have before I turned 40.

However I didn’t mention this to anyone in my immigrant family, which resulted in endless dark comedy for me.

I also want to write my memoir because I’ve led a life that was odd 25 years ago, but isn't so strange now.

I'm not in shape to write it in any logical order so I'm going to do a multimedia.. thjng. I'm starting it in my Patreon, audio, video and text. Then I'm adding paintings… maybe sculpture.

And turning into a display.

I’ve also started changing my Patreon. My idea is to share the action items and tools I use every day to take action on issues that matter to me from bed.

Share what educated me to be a community organizer, how I am able to make a little difference in the world bedbound, for abled citizens.

Bring more people who want to help others together with people I’ve vetted who need help. And a way to expand help to people who pass basic vetting.

I have always wanted to change the world. Even if I get through my current crisis, my lifespan will be considerably shorter.

No one changes the world alone.

And if 11 people can start a nationwide book ban, could a couple hundred of us bring about a more fair and equitable world?

Could we make being a good participatory workday citizen a shared value, and embed the idea in our culture?

And prevent it from being discarded?

For me there’s a balance between how I normally do things and the kind of space I’m in. That’s what I’m looking to fine tune and you’ve been very helpful.

The next project I’m going to start after trying to systemize the mutual aid network (without functioning like charities)

is a citizens coalition.

We may be the only ones masking in some areas, in others it’s half the population. We don’t need to wait for the government to change what we can.
