So I've been chatting with this guy who identifies as Libertarian. (Online dating app. I'm kinda just lucky to find a few non-republicans here.)

I don't know much about this political view. My personal opinion, while acknowledging knowing little about this ideology, is that we are a 2 party country, any 3rd party is a distraction, a throw away vote, and a bit irresponsible for the threat (to our democracy) we currently face.

What do we think, mastos? Educate me on what being Libertarian means.

Our stupid work systems are adding to my stress level by sending me an email telling me if I don't complete past due trainings it will kick me out of the systems within now 6 days.
When I look at the trainings, it is for the introduction to a system that I've been working in since it's inception more than 6 years ago. It's a series of trainings that does not identify how long each block will take, cannot be at all skipped through, and must be physically manned to click "next" for each slide after a voice reads through the entirety of each slide. The 2nd one asks me if I want to pick up where I left off and when I say yes, it says 'congrats you completed'.
There is no contact information for me to say, "look, let's be practical here, I've literally been more than proficient in this system for more than 6 years, why am I being tapped to do exhaustive trainings that I clearly do not need, 6 years later?"

I'm so emotional right now, I want to shout "Lock me out of the systems. I dare you at this point. I actually dare you."

So, a parent was telling me the new thing is "planned marriage proposals" where the parents are invited to be there for it (or others).

I'm going on a date with libertarian man today. Wish me luck.

So far he has not displayed or expressed any of the behaviors or beliefs shared with me to watch for, nor am I clear why he labels himself this way.
He's gone out of his way to accommodate me (believe it or not, I'm a difficult person) and he gives me some counter thought or proposal for every wall I put up.
Of course, it's early and he's likely not sharing too much intentionally given my communicated political beliefs so, we'll see.
I believe in giving people opportunity to show who they are beyond how they label themselves, as I would want for myself.

I went to the country club with libertarian man this evening.

I saw the biggest of houses. I think ever. I actually want to go back and take a picture of one home because it was spectacular. Like on a pedestal, even...wild as hell.

I ate in an actual restaurant for the first time in more than 10yrs...with, like, a hostess, a waitress, cloth napkins and real silverware! I very actually forgot proper etiquette lol.

I was scoped out by the golf buddies (Former CEOs and lawyers) and the daughter's bf and best friend.

And as the highlight of the evening, confirmed he is, in fact, an anti-vaxxer as I was told about all the people dying from taking the covid vaccine...Ohioduhtuckians come from even wealthy income brackets🙄.

So there's that.

I'm going to have a...questionable/unsettling Friday.

Got a work invite from two HR people asking to meet with me as part of an "investigation". The lead tells me that I am "not the subject of the investigation" but they believe I have "valuable and relevant information to provide" the investigation.

Yeah, I have some assumptions. I'll just be honest like I am... sigh, I don't trust HR.

You guys, does anyone know what this is? It's large and oddly squishy. I'm sure my bish neighbor tossed it in my yard base on where my dog got it and the evening timeline (I was there, it was not, the color is brighter than grass, then she was out there, then my dog got it). Anyway, it's creepy feeling and looking inside, so I double bagged it in the trash....but would like to know what in the world...
