The amount of absolute nonsense I’ve seen Americans post about Europe is insane. I’ve heard that the UK is 50% Muslim. From idiots who’ve never been there. I’ve heard that France is now a caliphate, from, you guessed it, people who’ve never been there.

My post was an obviously exaggerated satire of the type of facebook postings that happens frequently from people who did in fact eat the onion, who will respond to people informing them that the post they’re responding to is satire with “probably closer to the truth that they dont want you to see anyways”

I’d hazard a guess that it’s less to do with his conduct as president, rather more of what he actually did in office. I honestly can’t think of anything his administration “achieved” aside from massive tax cuts for the rich. Obama had the ACA, Biden has his massive economic recovery and job creation, Trump has nothing of value.

So we’re completely forgetting the entire Ed Snowden thing? It didn’t stop when Snowden blew that whistle. The EFF and ACLU have been fighting it, and the NSA is still trying to stop congress from doing anything to stop it.

But sure, I’m a conspiracy nut job, thinking that my data would be anything but a drop in the ocean of pretty worthless data they’re collecting. I’m pretty sure my old Xiaomi Note phone is currently informing higher ups in the communist party that I’m playing CoD yet again, and I’m not very good at it. If they want to fill up data centers with petabytes of peoples mundane lives, go for it, waste your money keeping those facilities open and staffed, and waste your time finding out that most people don’t give a shit about chinese foreign policy and believe that Taiwan is number one, and also a sovereign nation in it’s own right.

Epic Games Store, Gog, UPlay (or whatever ubisoft’s is called), Origin/EA Downloader have all not done this and yet they’re not controlled by Gabe Newell.

Fact is that steam, no one else, started the road down the licensing and not ownership of games path we are firmly on with regards to PC.

Most PC’s don’t even have a disc drive any more, it’s all downloads.

And Gog is the only one that still allows ownership and not licensing of software.

So yeah, you do know nothing at all.

That is fair, Dota 2 is cosmetic only. TF2 on the other hand, is selling items with stats, mostly sidegrades rather than upgrades, but they do play into a certain kind of play, which does make it a de facto upgrade if your style of play matches the items use case.
