A PAC is sending this out to residents in my area

Political flier with a photo of Trump on the right side and various warning symbols throughout the text. There is a watermark on the flier that appears to be an eagle similar to other US symbols containing eagles. The text reads: VOTER ALERT. We see you haven’t voted yet. Your voting record is public… Your neighbors are...

acetanilide,

Yeah in my area all you need is name and birthday to look that up. I mean you have to promise you are the person you’re looking up though so that should take care of any issues!

acetanilide,

A friend of mine is supposed to pay $1100+ per month. I can’t imagine it.

I pay $0 with SAVE

acetanilide,

I wonder if the case worker survived the lack of oxygen from laughing so hard at that

acetanilide,

American here. Has he always been this bad? Farage I mean. I remember liking some speech he did when I was in college but I can’t remember anything about it other than it was him talking.

Just trying to pinpoint when my fucked up political views changed. (I thought it was high school but I guess it might have been college)

acetanilide,

I’m confused. Why would she say the money wasn’t hers? Is there some advantage to using gift money vs your own funds?

acetanilide,

That makes sense. Thanks

acetanilide,

Wait, the Chamber of Commerce is conservative? Is that all of them?

acetanilide,

Can Maury reveal it as well?? I would actually watch it then!

acetanilide,

Maybe they have to be filmed the whole time 🤔 I wonder if Abbott would let Pornhub operate again if they agreed to film Biden taking a drug test

acetanilide,

Can we make the candidates clean it up as a team? I think it would be fun to watch both of them use a mop…together.

acetanilide,

Perfect. And throw in a few surprise paternity tests at the same time

acetanilide,

I find it interesting that the two most expensive apps (according to a random blog I just read) are both tuning apps

acetanilide,

How much did you pay for the privilege?

acetanilide,

Yes. It is the same reason they use “rather” instead of talking about the weather (kidding but really it drives me nuts when people say rather instead of whether lol)

acetanilide,

By reason of insanity? I might accept that

acetanilide,

So… it’s an ad

I just need to make the jump to a different OS already

Trump floats idea of three-term presidency at NRA convention (www.theguardian.com)

Donald Trump flirted with the idea of being president for three terms – a clear violation of the US constitution – during a bombastic speech for the National Rifle Association in which he vowed to reverse gun safety measures green-lighted during the Biden administration....

acetanilide,

My concern is that he will run again and again until he dies. Ideally if he won this year he could never run again. Obviously he’s a fascist so he will probably try to stay in (again) but man I am not looking forward to the next 20-50 years of him. And I’m guessing he’s going to live forever at this point.

acetanilide,

Lol true. My point though was that he is The Thing that will never leave

acetanilide, (edited )

I hope you have your popcorn! I outsourced the explanation though.

Imagine Donald Trump as The Thing from the Fantastic Four: an oversized, lumbering figure with an unmistakable, gaudy orange, rock-like exterior. His presence is hard to ignore, not just because of his sheer size and brashness but because he bulldozes through political and social norms with little finesse, much like The Thing smashing through walls.

In this form, Trump’s bluntness and tendency to overpower conversations mirror The Thing’s raw physicality. His speeches are repetitive and simplistic, hammering his points home in a manner akin to The Thing’s catchphrase, “It’s clobberin’ time!”—straightforward and unsubtle.

However, just as The Thing struggles with his monstrous appearance, Trump’s public persona is marked by a mix of bravado and thin-skinned sensitivity. His abrasive approach often alienates allies and emboldens critics, making his interactions as rocky as his hypothetical exterior. Both figures are defined by their confrontational nature, but where The Thing’s battles are physical, Trump’s are rhetorical and often divisive.
