Day 10: Would any of your characters follow your antagonist on social media? What kind of people would?

For sure - people who like disgusting things and enjoy being icked out.

And Maddie. Maddie would so stalk Blaize - but to find something to take him down.

Apr 24: When older novels use outdated or racist language, should they be edited for the modern world or left alone and viewed in context?

Viewed in context, IMHO. Why?
Well, let me rephrase that question to sexist instead of racist, and OMG, we would need to rewrite almost everything that is out there.

Times are constantly changing. What we consider as ok might be deeply offensive 50 yrs from now. So, context is needed, important, essential.

I need help, dear , fellow followers of , , , .
It's been some time since I was a teenager. Things have changed. I need a place for my kids in to hang out in a small town. I chose this place to be a mall. I haven't specified the country in which my story takes place for numerous reasons, but is this still something kids do these days? Or is it completely out of date?

197 — Do any of your characters have their very own "kryptonite" of sorts?

In a way, Miriam is Flo's kryptonite. That's one of the reasons he doesn't seek her out despite longing for her. He knows she can make him do things he wouldn't do otherwise.

Difficult time of the year, for reasons. Still.

  1. I don't have to worry about the life of one of my loved ones.

  2. I have a good job. I don't have to worry right now about losing it.

  3. Laid down the background for yesterday evening.

203 — How does your MC view the world: as a cruel and unforgiving place, a land full of wonders, or something in-between?

Of all three MCs, Daniel has the kindest view on the world. That is because he grew up in a rich country, son of a loving family. He hasn't encountered hardship.

Both Miriam and Flo have. But while Miriam takes a rational approach, Flo sees the current world as a place where he needs to protect his people.

Feb 27: Have you written poetry?

Rarely. A little in my teens, and then some because I needed songtexts for a book.

I am no poet. I have utmost respect for those who can do that.

So, I'm traveling a lot over Pentecost and will have time on the train. I can't quite decide which project to tackle first.

Whadda you think?

Start translating ?
Edit in which those books will feature?
Or screw it and just read the books of the author I rediscovered on Patreon yesterday?

Dec 14

Had to wait until now, because this morning? Nothing but trivial stuff came to mind. Now, however...

  1. I will take at least 10 days off, starting tomorrow. No job, no coding school, just me and some books (and friends and family, ahem)

  2. I also can do that, because plans are made and I don't have to worry about FOMO

I normally don't do this, but, oh well...

  1. I write because I love it
  2. Fantasy and historical are my favs, but I won't say no to the others
  3. D. Dunnett inspired me to not only use the famous people for my historicals but to search for people like Luca Landucci.
