Part of getting the new community instance (datavis.social) up and running was deciding on my profile header. I went with an IterativeArt piece I created with code and the text "F*ck Cancer".

I started working on this piece in the days after my diagnosis but before going in for surgery. Even with my frustrations and scary emotions about Cancer, that I was feeling at the time, I still wanted to make the piece beautiful. As usual :)

Today was a great set of meetings and discussions, moving the forward. Nice to reconnect after too long with @chrismessina - and to meet @snarfed.org@snarfed.org @J12t @anca @frozencanuck in person, lots more connections to make tomorrow. It is an exciting time in the and ecosystem!

I'm happy to support, albeit from afar (!) - happy to at least connect you all up as a start here.

I got sad that the GUI app for converting images for the BrachioGraph that I was using uses PySimpleGUI, and that that library went to a closed source model, so I made a new-but-similar thing using PySides https://github.com/andypiper/brachiograph-converter-gui

Day 3 of was lovely, and some folks liked my recent piece “The Château” produced using DrawingBotV3 and the Roland DXY-1100, which made me very happy 😊 one more day of the show - and then, I’m heading to California for a week! ✈️
