There’s something so incredibly broken with Google calendar when you track all your flights and travel appointments that take place in other timezones.

It auto-adjusts time stamps to your current timezone that you view your calendar in, so you see things like a flight at 4am or a hotel check in at noon, which you know are fundamentally wrong.

@mathowie Is that because you want to remember that your 6:41pm flight starts with the 6 and not 3:41pm in your current time zone? Have you missed a flight because you misremembered? I have been incredibly appreciative that the thing manages to show a correct "block" of time for my or others' flights, presuming it imports the local times for individual legs of a journey for a flight correctly which it has done for a long time.

I'm thinking of giving up using fancy bluetooth audio earbuds. My replacement will be 1981 monaural "Earphones" (phones? there's only one earpiece!) which will never need charging. There are worse problems in the world, but we didn't improve humankind by making headphones require charging. $1.49 -- cheap! (p.s.: Pretty sure I bought that device four times).

Boeing's 787 "Dreamliner" is manufactured ... in a non-union shop in Charleston, South Carolina. At that shop, there is a cage full of defective parts that have been pulled from production because they are not airworthy.

Hundreds of parts from that Material Review Segregation Area (MRSA) were secretly pulled from that cage and installed on aircraft that are currently flying the world's skies.

I searched for photos on Instagram today, but the photo search was completely replaced by Meta AI, which dutifully repeated my three search words and gave me dictionary definitions of what each term meant (thanks I guess?). It didn't locate any photos. Resubmitting, it gave me the same "answers"

I switched between the home screen and the app's search several times and somehow eventually got my old Instagram photo search back.

What a silly, worthless first experience Meta AI was.
