Really love this show. It's not perfect and some of the plot decisions I could criticise, but it's one of the best #scifi TV shows I've seen. Great characterisation and brilliantly conceived #AltHistory
I have to agree 100% with #JeremyCorbyn on this. Our leaders are all disgracefully leading us to war. Shameful especially in the west where it’s not our children being blown to pieces. I just wish the people of the democracies would wake up & chuck out the warmongers by the ballot box, & the people of the autocracies would rise up & overthrow theirs, whether Hamas, Putin or Iran
I mean, I have this horrible feeling of 'told you so' but about 4 years ago I said we've got about 5 years until crop failures start hitting as a result of #ClimateChange
Initially we'll cope with increased reliance on Russian & Ukrainian wheat (complicated) but eventually with our crops ruined by rain and theirs by heat, I'm afraid it's not looking good, folks
#Bristol#GreenParty candidate has part of her finger bitten off by a dog while posting a leaflet through a letterbox. Ouch! The candidate seemed quite relaxed about it in reported comments, and I really hope the dog owners vote for her!
Tragic news for me today, of a friend's sudden passing. Although not someone I was massively close to they were a person I was getting to know and considered part of my circle. A real shock, leaving me feeling terribly sorry for them and their family but also reflecting on my own life and mortality.
In 15 years of trying to prolong my bikes' drivetrains by cleaning them I have still never understood the conundrum that if you degrease a #bicycle chain you then need to wash the degreaser off with water, and if you then apply lubricant to that chain you are surely trapping water in the links?
@mariusor ah, thanks. Yeah I suggested wax to my (excellent) local bike shop mechanic and he was very skeptical. I guess different mechanics have their own preferences
Good tribute to #BrianMcBride of the superlative #StarsOfTheLid here. I saw #SOTL live at the Barbican in London many years ago & it was one of the greatest musical experiences I’ve had. RIP Brian

Got a sidewall tear on my nearly brand new #Continental Terra Speed tyre out cycling on a #gravel ride at the weekend. My friend repaired it using a gel wrapper as a boot. Should I just put this down to bad luck and get a straight replacement tyre? I have otherwise enjoyed the feel & performance of the tyre. Or is there another gravel tyre I should consider?
@corin_ja Yeah, if you liked the tires just replace it with a new one. Sidewall tears are pretty much impossible to fix but it doesn’t mean the tires are bad.
