Hubby is watching the latest season of Black Mirror, so I'm off upstairs to practice my harp for an hour.

I told hubby that the world is screwed up enough, and I don't really need Black Mirror content making my MH worse.

A letter which was dated the 6th of June, arrived today, the 30th June. I wonder where it's been traveling around NZ the past 24 days? 🤔

Mail is only going to get worse after NZ Post lays off more post people soon.

Ooh we're under a heavy snow watch! Snow down to 100 m from 3pm Sat, 1 Jul - 9pm Sun, 2 Jul.

This is pretty good odds for us to get some snow, if is super cold overnight, the snow may fall to our level 30 m ASL.

A really interesting article on the rarest DMC colour, DMC 724. It was the perfect gold colour, and was licensed exclusively to Disney to colour winnie the pooh in branded cross stitch kits.

Happy winter solstice, today is the shortest day of the year! Tonight will be the longest night.

From tomorrow the days will ever so slowly get longer, but the coldest time of the year won't actually be for another 6 weeks.

Right, I'm off to make hot spiced apple juice, and then take some photos, and then my blog post will be up.

    @phil_stevens Holy cow that must have been scary.

    Our cooled ashes from the fire go into our metal bin which sits in the middle of an empty vege garden bed for the winter sitting on top of a concrete paver. Then the ashes are washed down with lots of water. Then they sit there cold for two weeks until we put them on the vege bed.

    Virus day means sofa day. Trying to muster the energy to go out and put in cauliflower seedlings as it's a climate-change-unseasonably warm day out, would be really nice for gardening

    We officially have a feijoa glut now 😂

    Our bushes are only 3 years old, and now they're producing more than we can eat. Every day when I walk inside with more hubby groans.

    Luckily not many people grow them in Dunedin, so there's demand from friends and family.

    Hubby and I just swapped 25th wedding anniversary presents since they were both to unwieldy to take with us on holiday.

    Hubby is very pleased with his music page turner.

    Hubby got me an Isla Ferrer limited edition fine art print. I’ve been wanting one for ages :birdheart:
