@TechConnectify I was this close to installing a Grizzl-e charger but have convinced myself to go universal Tesla charger to support both standards (for my current and future cars). Is this bonkers thinking?

@TechConnectify I like the elegance of Tesla storing the J1772 adapter in the unit so its ready to go when needed or hidden when not. I also want a hard-wired unit. I suppose I could get the Grizzl-E charge cable swapped when I get the R2, but then I have another thing to deal with.

@siracusa I will upgrade from my M1 iPad Pro which will be handed down to my wife, but w/o ultra urgency I’ll wait until WWDC so I can decide if I need to upsell $600 for the RAM/CPU upgrades... probably no.

@paul I've been using Turbotax online for ages. Can't remember the last version I used that was a local app. Any reason you're using the desktop version vs web?

Also, for all the grief turbotax gives me, it is miles ahead of other products. I use Taxact to generate K-1s for some specific accounts and it is a horrible experience. Luckily those returns are super basic.

Never buy anything from Dyson's website.

Never, ever, ever, ever.

Been fighting with them to resolve a duplicate order (from their website crashing) since Black Friday. They've had the return since January 4. I still don't have a refund. (Just filed a chargeback. I hate doing that.)

I've lost HOURS to this. I've never seen a company with such poor basic service.

@marcoarment This is why I love AMEX. I try to resolve every issue directly with the vendor, but when problems come up I turn to AMEX and they credit me 100% of the time. And with less hassle!

I bet the high end M3 Max gives the M1 Ultra a run for its money. 12 20-30% faster cores should beat the 16 "slower" cores for most real world stuff. If I wasn't such a core, uhm fan, I'd seriously consider going to a regular Studio next round.

@paul The M1 Ultra, at the time, had some key advantages including dual video and ML engines and a “high” RAM ceiling, but given how well the Max chips have scaled, they surely are eating away at the Ultra market.

@film_girl Pray you don't get an update error. One of my Studio Displays got stuck in Recovery mode and I spent a while unplugging power/thunderbolt and switching machines until I finally got it working again. 15 min into The Road Home and I’m loving it. Voice acting is top notch. The actress playing Delenn, Rebecca Riedy, sounds just like Mira Furlan. Also Phil LaMarr as Franklin… wow. Swear it was him. Great job! On with the show!
