@socketwench I mean, Batman Returns is absolutely the better movie, though, right? It misses its mark more often, but it aims so much higher. It's an insane, ridiculous, crazypants movie, but my God, what CHARM.

@Popehat Sure, except, well, when are are recordings. You could argue, "well, maybe they don't actually show what they're purported to show; we need to remain perfectly objective until the verdict is announced," but I think we are reasonably able to evaluate how likely that likelihood is, and act accordingly.

@SpaceLifeForm @mendel He's definitely a little rough around the edges, but at least later in the thread he realized his behavior wasn't great and walked out back.

(...I still don't use Ivory by default, though, since it's not quite as nice as Ice Cubes and still doesn't have Quote Posts in any form.)

I honestly do not care which insipid monarch is on our currency, with one exception: None Monarch. There should be no monarchs on our currency. Pick someone else, someone more worthy. A friend invited me to their graduation in a couple of weeks and trying to decide if I go boymode or “queermode” (as going girImode/authentic won’t be feasible).

I’m not sure if “queermode” is a thing (probably is and should be if it isn’t), but getting comfortable being visibly queer in public is going to be an important resiliency to develop, sooner rather than later.

@renegadejade Yeah, I've heard of that before, but I guess it never connected, or I've not been in a mindset where it would connect so well as when I read your post. I just finished coaching, so I suppose in already in a reflective state. =)

My journey is very different from yours, but it helped to read your insights, though, so thank you again.

I hate getting a haircut. I never know what to ask for. I just want someone to make me look good and cool. I've tried cheap haircuts and expensive haircuts and the places that give you beer and the places that give you spa water and they always have questions that I don't have answers for.

@affekt Ah okay. Well, if you don't know the answer to those questions, one way to find out is to try! If you can find a single hairstylist willing to go on this journey with you, and willing to help you experiment over a period of time, you can evaluate a bunch of different options over a bunch of different cuts.

Also, a big part of it is going to be learning how to do your own styling each day. I'd recommend figuring out how to use hair clay & spray, and observing over time... 1/2

@affekt ...what you like or don't like about how you style it. It'll look different as it grows out and look better at some lengths than others, and certain parts will look better at different lengths than others.

Oh, and take pictures of very good and very bad days! You can bring them to your stylist and tell them "I like when the top is long like this but I REALLY didn't like when the sides were like THIS" and they should be able to work with that. /2
