@scy ein ehemaliger Kollege hat bei uns mal eine Wiki-Seite namens "denglish" angefangen. Mit solchen Perlen wie "ge-off-signt" (ein Signed-off-by unter einen Commit gesetzt), "gerefcountet" (einen reference counter gepflegt), "draufreverten" (einen Revert-Commit auf einen Branch anwenden) oder "upstreamifizieren" (Patches in Richtung upstream schicken) 😁

Hab im Botanischen Garten ein paar Hummelhintern einfangen können 🙂
Habe aber nicht rausgefunden, was das für ein toller Strauch ist, das würde mich nochmal interessieren…

weiter Hummel auf Blüten, größere Umgebung, und an dem Strauch sind sehr viele Blüten

Es sind quasi nur cremeweiße Blüten auf dem Bild zu sehen, ein paar wenige grüne Blätter, und in einer Ecke hinter dem Strauch ein lila blühender Rhododendron

Hätte jetzt nicht erwartet, dass die Frage "was ist der Default-Browser" unter Linux jetzt erst mal mehrere tausend Zeilen Shellscripte offenbart, die .desktop-Files auswerten, aber andererseits bin ich auch nicht unbedingt besonders überrascht.

Meine Mama hat ein altes Android-Handy von Huawei. Bei ihr funktioniert die vorinstallierte App für die Telefonie nicht mehr. Kann eins die irgendwie umgehen? Gibt es Apps, mit denen eins telefonieren kann, sodass es nicht auf dem Datenvolumen aufschlägt, sondern bei der Telefonie?

Edit: Bitte nicht mehr teilen, ihr habt so viele liebe Tipps gegeben, denen will ich erst mal nachgehen. 🙏

Und einen davon hab ich auch lange Zeit genutzt (den ich jetzt nicht nennen will, weil das Projekt inzwischen an einen kommerziellen Anbieter verkauft wurde…)

@UlrikeHeiss vor allem, dass der neue Besitzer dafür bekannt ist, Werbung in ursprünglich werbefreie Apps einzubauen… 😬 Und bei einer Telefonie-App würde ich auch darauf vertrauen wollen, dass sie nicht nach Hause telefoniert oder sonstwie Daten verliert.

Was ist eigentlich im mit los? Ich war da gestern, und kaum über die Landesgrenze, hatte ich den Eindruck, dass die Karte schlechter und veraltet ist.

Ich wollte auf nem eingezeichneten Autobahnrastplatz rausfahren, und der existierte einfach nicht mehr. Nicht einfach Baustelle, sondern die Leitplanke war über die ehemalige Ausfahrt durchgezogen und es wuchs schon Vegetation über alles. Der muss schon seit über nem Jahr zu sein…!

I came across this image of a building and first thought that the roof was made from wood. But no, the Moiré pattern resulting from the thin lines between the roof shingles mapped onto the discrete grid of an image sensor at an angle is just effectively the same hyperbolic math that leads to the cathedral grain patterns in flat-sawn wood.
