Is there any general advice on cross-posting from (e.g.) #PixelFed or #BookWyrm to #mastodon ? I know that if folks are interested specifically in my photos they could follow my pixelfed account, but I do see a lot of pictures posted here (and I like to see pictures here). #fediverse#question
@dcreemer I follow my PixelFed account on Mastodon, so I post to PixelFed, view the post via Mastodon, click the ellipsis (I use the Toot client), click Copy toot, and select ‘as a link’. Then I create a new toot in my Mastodon account and copy the link and post. It may seem like a lot of steps, but it goes quickly. The post preview works, so they see a small version of the image as part of the link to my PixelFed.
I feel that the people at #AWS that invented ODCRs for EC2 forgot what the acronyms mean.
