Aujourd’hui, les chatons de ont trois semaines, j’avais décidé de les peser et éventuellement de changer un peu l’aménagement de la pièce pour qu’ils puissent commencer à bouger un peu plus, mais manifestement c’est pas l’heure !

I received my 3 days ago, and I already love this little machine 🤩

So much fun playing 16-bit games, especially on that cute screen!

The fun/price ratio of this thing is unbeatable
(got mine for 35 euros)

Meanwhile, I got sidetracked again because this cute thing just arrived. The smaller version of the legendary Big Muff guitar effect pedal. It sounds just like its bigger sibling, noisy and sweet. It was a grunge era favorite and Hendrix allegedly used one as well. Love it. Found it for cheap and the plan is to make some modifications for more versatility (maybe there’s even going to be a video about that in the future).

I had the little big muff, but I needed more room on my board, so I sold it and bought a nano to replace it.

I tried both side-by-side: absolutely the same sound, and the circuits look almost identical.
However, pots are more practical to operate on the bigger one.

    @R1Rail c'est pas super utile en effet, par contre ça te protège contre une erreur de manipulation : genre suppression d'un repository par erreur.
    En général dans ce genre de cas j'active les snapshots, mais avec une rétention assez courte, genre 1 semaine.

    Juste pour avoir un garde-fou en cas d'erreur.

    I resisted buying during my first year of learning to play .

    I knew that once I'd buy one, it would become another rabbit hole and another trigger for gear acquisition syndrome.

    (I'm someone who has been into photography and mechanical keyboards, so I know a thing or two about it)

    Last month, for a song I'm learning with my teacher, I finally had a need for a distortion pedal...

    Now I have 4 pedals and another one is currently shipping.
    I'm doomed.

    I think this year I'll try the (at least the ~15 first days - I'm not good enough at programming to finish the month), this time in instead of .

    Python is the language I'm really comfortable with and in which I do almost all of my projects.
    But I did a good amount of Go ~2 years ago, I really liked it and I want to do more and be better at it.

    @Looping pour ce que ça vaut : j'ai une kindle Paperwhite assez ancienne.

    J'avais pris ça malgré que ça vienne de Amazon, vu que l'offre en face n'était pas dingue techniquement.

    Je n'ai jamais utilisé leur store, et la liseuse est 100% du temps en mode avion.
    Je gère tous mes ebooks avec Calibre sur l'ordinateur, au final je lis absolument tout vu qu'il gère la conversion de manière transparente.

    Tout ça pour dire que même avec le "pire" sur le papier, t'es vraiment pas bloqué en réalité.

    @alyx ça me rappelle le blindtest fait par des debunkers audiophiles qui montrait que personne n'arrivait à faire la différence à l'écoute entre des câbles d'enceintes à $1k et UN FUCKING CINTRE DÉPLIÉ faisant office de câble 🥰

    @sll @lbr59 pour nuancer, certains produits commerciaux de domotique s'appuient sur des standards documentés (voire libres) et n'introduisent pas cette vulnérabilité.

    Je pense par exemple aux ampoules Philips Hue : ça fonctionne avec leur écosystème, mais derrière c'est du tout ce qu'il y a de plus standard, les appareils sont complètement utilisables avec une autre implémentation.
    (Par exemple avec un dongle ZigBee standard et les logiciels libres Zigbee2mqtt et/ou Home Assistant)

    @sll @lbr59 c'est du confort, c'est loin d'être indispensable c'est certain.
    Par exemple ça te permet de commander des points lumineux avec des interrupteurs sans fil, pour ne pas avoir à refaire tout ton circuit électrique, si le circuit existant ne convient pas.

    Tu sors de chez toi, tu commandes l'extinction de toute la maison d'un coup.

    Par contre, pour le chauffage la programmation ultra-fine (par horaire + par pièce) permet de bonnes économies d'énergie.

    @Looping je trouve que le 5 est une régression sur plein de points, notamment le design moins pratique (il me semble qu'il se plie de manière moins compacte)
    Et le 4 doit se trouver moins cher maintenant.

    Le jour où mon XM2 devra être changé, c'est celui-ci que je viserai si il se trouve encore.
    (Il ne veut pas mourir le bougre ❤️)
