When you fall asleep at your laptop with your hands on the keyboard, in a chat program, and you wake up expecting to see tons of repeated letters and people mad at you, but oh hey your fingers didn't press down hard enough to make letters this time! That's good.
Holy crap y'all, I have 54 days of sick leave built up. I don't even know what to say. I mean, I'm not gonna start using them a lot, but wow, it's really nice knowing they're there. I thought I had 18 before, and that was still good, but I was doing a 24 hour day instead of a work day (8 hours, so yeah this is really good. Well, I'm taking a day off today, but 53 sick leave days is still good.
Grumble grumble, folks working on "bringing AI automation to Mac," but what is there for PC? A "co-pilot" that can ... turn on dark mode for you? Like, come on y'all, we Windows folks need love toooo! Lol, envisioning a future where all the cool folks use a Mac, blind or not, cause they can get stuff done quickly that takes Windows users trying to figure everything out, especially pertinent to blind people who have to figure out every new web app we come to, as far as keyboard commands and where stuff is, how to quickly get to the stuff we need and such. It's kinda crazy though. Like, Mac isn't exactly as open a platform as PC. And yet? Here we are, with all kinds of AI apps for Mac that don't exist on PC, that I've seen. And they're usually a tad more accessible, too. Well, I mean, as far as AI apps go. No automatic reading of incoming messages from a chat app, for example. But that's fine, I have what I need. An image describer NVDA addon to describe whatever image I need described, and there's now an OpenAI addon, to interact with that API as a whole, with GPT and such. So I can't complain. Okay, I can, but honestly I think we'll get there in Windows, with ads, and upselling and such, and we'll have a good screen reader to go along with it, lol. Then again, there is Vosh in early development, so Apple could, potentially, in a universe far far away, capture the blind market, lol. No, this post isn't meant to be serious. I don't think.

Yep I'm taking a day off tomorrow. I was going to help a student, so I began to stand up out of my chair. Then, I kinda flopped back into it cause I can't control myself apparently. So I stood up, successfully this time, and then knocked over my heater. Besides, it'll be raining tomorrow, and cold, and I don't wannacatch a cold cause then I really won't be feeling good lol.
Well, I'm sure an NVDA addon with this will be here soon. Just amazing how far things have come. I mean, I hope there's a Windows version of the Llava part of this anyway.

@jstark It's uh, like, Sony's own little codec. It's on Android, and I guess it somewhat works on Windows and maybe Mac, but not on iOS. It improves latency a bit over AAC too.
Good news for MacOS 14 users. 14.2 Beta 4 fixes the issue where if you have typing echo set to nothing, arrowing through characters doesn’t speak anything. So yay, now we can, ahahaha, read text again! 😵💫
