I am a totally #Blind person who spend 16 hours a day wearing an Apple watch and probably 15 hours 52 minutes (I have to shower) holding an iPhone.
I am excited and fascinated by the incredible boosts to my quality of life being offered by new AI-driven apps such as Be My Eyes virtual assistant and #ChatGPT with its #GPT4Vision model that generates amazing descriptions. #Accessibility#AI#Apple#AppleOfMyAI#Blind#Disability#Inclusion#Innovation
@Lottie oh, okay, that makes a little more sense. :) It's awesome that you like technology so much. I love it too, but I'm usually on my computer. :) Keep being awesome!
This is my dangerous kitty Penny. She is a very deadly hunter and is very vicious.
She's actually the most gentle cat I've ever met and is the ONLY cat I've ever let play with hands. She never scratches and we play this game every single day.
Anyome out there play #Doom using the Tobi Accessibility Mod? If so, anyone could tell me how to install it right? I don't know what I'm doing. I got both Doom and Doom 2 on Steam because I thought that's what you needed. Any ideas? Thanks.
Grumble grumble, folks working on "bringing AI automation to Mac," but what is there for PC? A "co-pilot" that can ... turn on dark mode for you? Like, come on y'all, we Windows folks need love toooo! Lol, envisioning a future where all the cool folks use a Mac, blind or not, cause they can get stuff done quickly that takes Windows users trying to figure everything out, especially pertinent to blind people who have to figure out every new web app we come to, as far as keyboard commands and where stuff is, how to quickly get to the stuff we need and such. It's kinda crazy though. Like, Mac isn't exactly as open a platform as PC. And yet? Here we are, with all kinds of AI apps for Mac that don't exist on PC, that I've seen. And they're usually a tad more accessible, too. Well, I mean, as far as AI apps go. No automatic reading of incoming messages from a chat app, for example. But that's fine, I have what I need. An image describer NVDA addon to describe whatever image I need described, and there's now an OpenAI addon, to interact with that API as a whole, with GPT and such. So I can't complain. Okay, I can, but honestly I think we'll get there in Windows, with ads, and upselling and such, and we'll have a good screen reader to go along with it, lol. Then again, there is Vosh in early development, so Apple could, potentially, in a universe far far away, capture the blind market, lol. No, this post isn't meant to be serious. I don't think.
Oh hey, Braille Sense 6 is running Android >8, so it'll work with the um... LDAC? A2DP? Whatever Sony's Bluetooth audio codec is. Mmm, much less latency than AAC too.
@jstark It's uh, like, Sony's own little codec. It's on Android, and I guess it somewhat works on Windows and maybe Mac, but not on iOS. It improves latency a bit over AAC too.
👏🔊 The progress of Suno.ai is turning skeptics into believers within the blind community. It's amazing to witness how far AI has come in enhancing accessibility and usability. Suno.ai's advancements are a testament to the potential AI holds for making a real difference. #Blind#Disability#SunoAI#TechTransformation#BlindCommunityBelievers 👏🔊
Well, I'm sure an NVDA addon with this will be here soon. Just amazing how far things have come. I mean, I hope there's a Windows version of the Llava part of this anyway.
llamafile is the new best way to run a LLM on your own computer:
@MutedTrampet Yeah, I ran Ollama, with a few models, and it's like 3 tokens per second lol. But once they start using more than just NVIDIA GPU's, I think it'll get faster for people like me that have AMD GPU's.
