I decided to give up on my :tic80: side-project for the time being because I just couldn’t update some of the docker images on the project to be able to use a more recent version of CMake. Spent a couple of weeks on and off but some of that stuff is just out of my league so I respectfully bow out.

:amiga: Amiga and :analogue: Pocket projects only it is then…

@jtruk sorry for the letdown. It looks like the docker images where created a long time ago so for a few of them the recipe to build them doesn’t work anymore and I couldn’t manage to find a way to build them again. More details here if you’re interested:

@jtruk I hit a wall with Raspberry Pi. Not sure how many people still use this… SDL doesn’t even provide binaries anymore…

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@jtruk ideally they should have maintainers for each individual platforms so you could go to them for help. I’m sure someone who knows more about rpi could cross compile SDL on a docker image but I just couldn’t figure it out in the end…

Bought one of those FIDO2/U2F keys. Step one in the instructions was to set up a vendor account to manage it. Noped out at that and returned it.

@nivrig what brand was it? I use a Yubico and I don’t remember having to do that…

I've added @matrix to the list of projects I support financially. You can too!

Tonight is all about the Analogue Pocket but I’m thinking about also live streaming progress on my related side project.

What would be a good night? Tuesdays maybe?

@nivrig h0ffman does his Music thing on Mondays right?

Need some up to date code signed and universal binaries of vasm/vbcc/vlink for cross compiling your code on macOS?

I got you…

didier,

@mcc I’ll still probably do so core boot stuff next time too :)

I don’t use any of the chip32 stuff in my designs so far so I’m afraid I can’t help there…

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@mcc correct. Anything that happens after you unpause a core booting process since signal tapping anything before that is a little tricky.

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@mcc how is your own stuff going on the Pocket btw?

I’m thinking of installing WinUAE on my windoze mini pc so that I can test the IPF files I made with the weazel…

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

Ok maybe not. It looks like it reads scp files as long as they are images of AmigaDos disks, not weird MFM ones.

I’m wondering if scp doesn’t have an ADF like image integrated in the format and that’s what FS-UAE uses.

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@nivrig @h0ffman shame it doesn’t run on the better OS 😉

Joking aside, @gigabates is the one working on the 4.x port and he’s made amazing progress. Unfortunately the IPF support is a plugin IIRC so that would have to be ported over too.

Flux files are supported on a Gotek drive though right?

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@h0ffman @nivrig @gigabates does ‘can’ imply that there are some images (non regular dos ones maybe) that you simply can’t?

Just realized that the 2.4beta of @mixxx supports mod files… 😍

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@totetmatt I’m resisting the urge to add UI support for enabling/disabling each voice live.

didier,
@didier@malenfant.net avatar

@totetmatt the current support is super clean, they just render the mod as wav when you load it and everything else stays the same. But…

There would be nothing stopping you from rendering 4 separate tracks. Then the fun begins….

I imagine that at some point they will support realtime stem separation like commercial software does already. The mod separation could plug into that.

That would require a conversation with the devs on how they would approach the UI side of this in @mixxx
