I know we're not supposed to talk about this cause god forbid we remind anyone covid is still a powerful threat but is anyone else getting increasingly freaked out by seeing stuff on the tl about young people dying suddenly and unexpectedly? Like. It's not just me noticing this, right? I've seen 3 today alone and I literally just woke up

got to the part of PsychOdyssey where covid hits. y'all remember the "we're all in this together" period? fake as it was even at the time (lots of people were a lot more "in it" than other more privileged people) i miss that solidarity now that people treat you like a pariah for having the nerve to wear a mask

still. things feel a lot better for me than those early days. less scary, because i know what to do; stay away from the plague spread-err i mean, other people. shit still sucks but at least we've got a routine down, yanno? strapped in for the long haul. nothing worse than uncertainty

mastodon is getting groups? forget about the quote posts and search and onboarding, i wanna know more about groups. one of the biggest things i miss from twitter is the covid cautious group
