/kbin - Just Reddit Things update

Hey, once again, I welcome the newcomers. It's great to see new faces here :) It seems that we've managed to resolve the server issue. Unfortunately, I had to temporarily disable certain features, such as content auto-refresh. It will be restored at the beginning of next week after the infrastructure change, so you'll get to...

/kbin update - upvotes, boosts, languages...

Hi everyone, You may have noticed a small change on the website. From now on, upvotes work just like on Lemmy - they are equivalent to Mastodon's "favourite." You can boost a post using the button that replaced "favourite." Another change is that you can now rate and boost your own posts. Boosting has a one-time effect - it...

The kbin icon is now officially in the latest release of the Tabler set. I recommend using and sponsoring this project.

/kbin - Sunny June Announcement

Hi everyone, it seems that we have quite a gathering here, and many of you I haven't had the chance to greet yet :) As some of you may know, /kbin is still in its early stages of development. Every day, improvements and new features are being worked on. Unfortunately, this may result in occasional short downtimes. However, the...

Small changes. And by the way, checking if uploading video to kbin in any form is already working. Only now I noticed that font-display works differently on firefox compared to webkit

Fediverse Report: The Roundup – episode 21 (fediversereport.com)

Differentiation in the Fediverse is starting to play out in more and more pronounced ways. For most users in the Western world, it is tightly linked with Mastodon. But the Japanese Fediverse community is growing extremely rapidly, mainly using Misskey. It has grown in less than half a year from 75k accounts to 325k accounts.

I’m on kbin and really liking it. I feel right at home and I actually love that I can see Mastodon content in a threaded, Reddit-like format. It’s great to be able to see Lemmy content too - it feels like there’s enough activity here with all that that I want to stick around and participate in the community.

The Fediverse Report: The Roundup – episode 20 (fediversereport.com)

It has been an interesting week in the fediverse, with some events that will play out over longer timeframes. Conversations about defederation, but also a growth in tech projects that go beyond microblogging, and the continuation of developer organisation. Besides that, it took around a month for Mastodon to add another million...

After a few hours spent with , I can say that it is more pleasant to receive than or . Developer mode starts faster, hot reloading is no problem, build is also faster.

The biggest pain I caused myself, because I chose the standard approach to CSS for this framework. Lack of SASS or other preprocessor hurts a bit. However, I will not give up and will not install any.

Understanding Calckey Plugins (box464.com)

Calckey Plugins are an overlooked component of the platform. Mostly because documentation is scarce about them. No more! Here's my first post in a series on plugins, introducing the concept and providing a guide to ensure users can make informed decisions about installing plugins they find in the community....

The fight, I suppose, mainly with CSS has begun. Such a simple design probably won't even require extending Astro's functionality. The blog and subpages are already working, and there is nothing else there. Well, except for the contact form. https://bit.ly/3OGpVN8
