OC Improved Channel Select Menu 0.2.0 — Makes your subscribed magazines and liked channels more accessible (greasyfork.org)

One of my most wanted features as of late has been for the channel select menu to have my subscribed magazines and liked collections. Right now, it just contains some general feeds, but I thought it'd be super useful to also have your mags and collections there for easy access! However, given that Kbin development priorities are...

Could we get something like PieFed's "Add Remote" button?

A super helpful feature that PieFed (a new fediverse thread aggregator like Lemmy & Kbin) has is an "Add Remote" button on its communities page. This button allows you to get a community on another instance to appear on your PieFed instance (and thus get the PieFed instance to start getting posts from that community)....

PieFed's "Add Remote" interface, used to add communities from other servers.

OC Kbinicons Part 3 is here: 19 EU flags in two different styles each + a psd file to generate small instance logos for separate kbin instances

Hi everyone, I’m back with another kbin icon pack. This time it’s flags for 18 EU countries (the non-fancy ones) + an EU flag. So 38 icons in total. All icons come in two styles: semi-transparent/glassy and opaque metallic. I also made a simple instance logo generator....

OC A UI idea on how to merge boosting with up/downvote buttons into one unified voting system in a visual way

Artemis might use a swipe gesture to visually hint at the relation between upvoting and boosting, as shown in the main animation. Here's a static app mockup with both swipe levels displayed. I'd also imagine that there should be a setting that auto-upvotes posts when boosting.

OC Assuming boost stays as some sort of a super-upvote/share combo alongside regular up/downvote buttons, here's a UI idea on how to merge it into one unified voting system. App animation + web block mockup

I heard that votes have been changed to behave closer to how people would expect, and boost is staying here as well. So I had an idea how to bring it all together in the interface....

OC I’m back with several more community icons: check out Artemis (future kbin app), Urban Details, 3D Modeling and some other stuff

Honestly, I’ve been really enjoying making these, probably the most I’ve been excited to model something for months. So I exchanged some sleep for a faster turnaround :) Previous post here...

weirdwriter, to accessibility

I boosted this post from @ernest but I would like to highlight one major thing over compliance. Turning a screen reader/adaptive technology on and really figuring out how it works is what we mean when we say that is more than standards. This is a great way to understand our navigational habits as well as some of the current issues that are within existing screen readers. So many others just try to do the bare minimum, but this kind of thing is why we are so dedicated and so loyal to those that show us this kind of care and appreciation! https://kbin.social/m/kbin/p/425385/-/reply/857566

Picture for fun, but a store with branded gadgets launched at the right time is not a bad idea in my opinion.

The kbin icon is now officially in the latest release of the Tabler set. I recommend using and sponsoring this project.

A small thing, but it makes me happy. It's fake at the moment, but the icon is already waiting for to reach version 1.0

Upvote vs like

Graphics/UI and #ux are one side of the project, UX that is combined with functionality and design is a slightly different story. Looking at the project from the beginning I was wondering about the sense of mixing upvotes and likes. Of course, I know that this from the functionality of federated applications, but also in them...

A few minor stylistic changes. Or rather, suggestions for change.

Slowly but forward. Main pages with no content, but they are there. Blog without pagination, but it works. Currently, the font jumping on swap annoys me the most.

After a few hours spent with , I can say that it is more pleasant to receive than or . Developer mode starts faster, hot reloading is no problem, build is also faster.

The biggest pain I caused myself, because I chose the standard approach to CSS for this framework. Lack of SASS or other preprocessor hurts a bit. However, I will not give up and will not install any.

The subpage of followed channels, users and tags is still missing, but the general idea is already visible. GIF is animated.
