It's a lot easier to support Ultra Wide if you design for it right from the start.

Our new game fully supports it and includes FoV options, full menu scaling & even cutscene integration.

According to Steam about only 4% of players have a UW screen but it looks so gooood!~

ROLLIN' RASCAL

There's no other way to describe this as anything else but "3D Sonic" done right. It does everything I'd do tackling this type of subgenre and the playable demo was superb! Kickstarter coming soon!

@djlink I have no doubt, Unity has unfortunately never been worse for multiplat than right now with URP imo.

Heck, even just DX11/DX12 or AMD/Nvidia are constantly causing problems now.

I'm curious: Do we have any data showing a bump in sales AFTER adding anti-piracy measures to an already released game?

It feels like the negative reception & loss of platform compatibility eclipses any possible benefits.

Friction in videogames is a complicated! A lot of modern game design tries to get rid of any but is that always a good thing? Some deliberate friction can achieve a lot!

Overcoming a "bullshit" boss is cathartic, calming an uncontrollable horse can foster a relationship, etc.

Good level tools are the best! You wouldn't believe how much is possible just by utilizing splines to your advantage.

Fun fact: Most games try to avoid transparencies because it can tank performance and lead to render issues with effects.

The common solution? Really thin dithering! The jar on the left is using dithering while the jar on the right is actually transparent.

This beautiful image by @vgcartography (twitter) highlights one of my favorite details in this level: The spikes above the water are the tips of the sunken ruin's towers.

Sunshine's sense of space in & across all levels on Isle Delfino are some of the best out there!
