Fun fact: Most games try to avoid transparencies because it can tank performance and lead to render issues with effects.

The common solution? Really thin dithering! The jar on the left is using dithering while the jar on the right is actually transparent.

I'm not sure more "on the fly" changes are the way to go as opposed to retracting the concept entirely.

Definitely reintroduce the ToS segment about retroactive changes & explore revenue options with the community instead?

Let's see what comes our way in "a couple of days".

I will say, the continous use of the word "confusion" in all of these statements is certainly a choice.

No one's confused about what has been said. We are, however, all confused as to who thought this was a good idea.
