maegul, to bluesky

People are actually on BlueSky

There's now a decent measurement of user numbers (https://bskycharts.edavis.dev/edavis.dev/bskycharts.edavis.dev/bsky_users_total.html) ...

They've got about 1.6M MAUs ...
& 0.8M Weekly unique users & 0.340M Daily.

That's not nothing!

Roughly double mastodon and 60% more than the whole fediverse (by MAUs, see fedidb.org).

Bluesky is quite "international" with large Japanese and Brazilian popltns, and there's real attrition happening IMO.

Still, let the protocol wars begin I suppose?

@fediverse

figaro,

No

figaro,

Ah yes, the highest degree of the celestial kingdom, reserved only for married (m-f) Mormons, where polygamy is allowed but only for men to have multiple wives, not vice versa.

Much better than those telestial peasants. Muahaha

figaro,

I’ve used the Boox color e-reader. It’s fine. My one complaint is that the white background of the screen is not as white as the background in traditional e-readers. Like I saw somewhere that the Kindle’s white background is somewhere near 85% white, and the Boox color screen is 65ish% white. It was noticable when I used it, to the point that I sent it back and got a non color e-reader.

I ended up getting the Boox Nova Air 2. it is fantastic. onyxboox.com/boox_novaair2

figaro,

What is it

figaro,

People who watch literal recordings of movies from inside a movie theater are psychopaths who really, really don’t care about quality. I highly doubt they are the target audience of movie ticket sales.

figaro,

… It’s pied piper

figaro,

At this point it’s just a meme. I mean I definitely don’t get it, but I have nothing against you as a person lol.

figaro,

Anyone remember Disa? They had a solid app, but development on it seemed to fizzle.

figaro,

Why are you protecting them? Drop the fucking names lol. I literally do not understand.

figaro,

\ (•◡•) / thanks yo

figaro,

Lolll that is amazing. I’m going to use lawnchair even harder now.

figaro,

Christina be cray

figaro,

Mormons think we are all going to be gods, and that God was once a man on some planet like we were, and therefore there are literally billions of gods out there. Our God just happens to be the one relevant to us.

figaro,

Ask them about kolob while you are at it lol

figaro,

Wait what’s the difference between “Craig” and “Would play with Craig again”?

figaro,

Air fryers have changed the game. My life is different now. I’m a changed man. I fry my food with the air. I will never go back.

figaro,

That poses an interesting question. They could go all out and spend tens of thousands on security. But at what point does the math not add up, and they are spending more per year than their losses are on average? At that point, should they just let it happen?

figaro,

Look I’m not judging I’m just saying you could have been at least listening to a podcast

figaro,

Good question, it all actually comes from the great predecessor moth who imbued its children with the energy needed to carry on for generations. This singular imbuement of life has carried them for the last four thousand years, and it is unknown when it will run out. When that time comes, the Luna moth will be no more.

figaro,

You know at first I thought this account was a joke, but it’s been months and it’s still going on. Honestly I’m convinced

Introducing Steam Families (steamcommunity.com)

When you join a Steam Family, you automatically gain access to the shareable games that your family members own and they will also be able to access the shareable titles in your library. The next time you log in to Steam, this new ‘family library’ will appear in the left column as a subsection of your games list. You...

figaro,

I’m curious how aggressive it will be at limiting families who live in different houses from sharing games.

The article specifically states that it is meant for “same household” families. But will it actively prevent that?

figaro,

Right lol the first think I thought of was now my friends can just split the cost of any single player game and just take turns playing it
