Why do I never get trapped in the trunk of a car with Jennifer Lopez?

Out of Sight (1998)

Jennifer Lopez trapped in the boot of a car with George Clooney turned out to be the highlight of the movie. After that scene the humour (it was billed as an action comedy) very much dried up. Too much time spent watching hoodlums driving around in cars.

Clooney and Lopez had some chemistry, but, it wasn't enough to hold my attention.

Disappointing.

After the disappointment of "Out of Sight", to-night, I'm watching "Plane". This is an action thriller starring Gerard Butler, as a pilot whose plane is hit by lighting, and has to make an emergency landing.

The character must've been written for Butler. When speaking to his character's daughter he asks her to prepare "homemade haggis, neeps and tatties".

Then, when asked by the co-pilot if he was English, he replies "Hell no. I wouldn't lower myself to that. I'm Scottish." 😃

The weather is doing some funny stuff. Only a few days ago it was 24°C. This morning it was 4°C, and my breath was condensating. That's June in the Highlands.

Stopping support for the genocide in Palestine must become a mainstay of the forthcoming UK General Election.

No candidate will get my support in the election unless they unequivocably and unambiguously condemn Israel's genocide in Palestine.

The UK should immediately halt military support and arms sales to Israel. The UK government must also plainly condemn Israel's genocide on the international stage.

Confession time: My manjaro sojourn has been brought to a premature close. This isn't because of any major issue, but I need my laptop for the next few weeks, & shouldn't tempt fate with a new to me option.
I installed Leap 15.6 beta, as I thought it would have Plasma 6, which I've rather got used to. But it's still plasma 5, so I put Slowroll back. Wayland works so well I've been able to remove xorg. Finished the install 30 mins before a VC session!
I'll come back to this in late July though.

Same. I just stick with Xfce on Devuan. Even between releases it is pretty much always the same. Which is a good thing. 😃 Just works.

The end of this tea was better than the beginning. The more compressed center had more camphor and floral notes, less licking a wet stone (though that is still present). It's not a great tea, but I absolutely enjoyed it

That's probably the National Monument on Calton Hill you are seeing. It is a memorial to the Scottish seaman and soldiers who died fighting in the Napoleonic Wars.

I find their estimates are fairly accurate. Probably because my usage is fairly consistent, when the same months in different years are compared. On balance, I prefer Octopus to Bulb.

By all means, let's protect our natural environment, but, we DON'T need another bureaucracy.

No more national parks.

I'm not alone, I've seen a few such banners in the locality.

None of these things require a national park. Legislation could be amended to allow or mandate councils to do them. This also has the advantage that all suitable areas could be covered, and not just three specific ones.
