Ansonsten vielleicht noch, wenn die Suche nichts brauchbares ergibt: Die Frage im Fediverse posten. Irgendwer anders hatte bestimmt auch schonmal das gleiche obskure Problem. Und oft hilft es auch schon beim Verstehen, die Frage mal schriftlich auszuformulieren :D

(Ich würde außerdem meine Kolleg*innen fragen, aber das ist leider nicht als allgemeiner Tipp anwendbar.)

Kein zusätzlicher Inhalt, aber ein weiterer Weg, ihn zu sehen: Die Tooltips mit Auszügen aus der Doku, die in IDEs (z.B. PyCharm) angezeigt werden. Hilft mir zumindest oft im Arbeits-Alltag.

Ich lerne gern mit Beispielen: Manchmal hilft es, den Sourcecode von vorhandener Software (es gibt ja viel open source Kram in Python) anzugucken, die irgendeine Sache macht, die ich auch so ähnlich machen will.

Anyone else here doing stuff with on an board?
I got through the installation and I can edit and run code in the web editor now... but that stores the code directly on the board, which is rather inconvenient if I want to do things like put it in a git repo, and use an IDE for editing. I could edit the code on my laptop and then upload the files to the board through the web editor, but that seems very tedious.
Is there a tool that does some kind of automatic sync for this?

Jaja, ich weiß, "Sechs-eck". Aber was wäre, wenn wir es "Sech-seck" trennen würden?

Auf einmal ham wir zwei Silben, die unterschiedlich geschrieben, aber gleich ausgesprochen werden.

I'm currently catching up on the MCU and I'm not exactly a fan of the Hulk. Not because Mark Ruffalo isn't playing him well, but simply because I don't find the character very interesting.

However, I enjoyed watching "Mark Ruffalo breaking down his most iconic characters" a lot. He seems to be a really kind, down-to-earth person.

(I haven't done a lot of research about this "Enneagram" system, but it's basically a model to describe some common psychology stuff in simplified terms. So take it with the same grain of salt as any other categorization of human personalities, like introvert/extrovert, etc.)

I've made several bags (a stem bag, a large bag for the basket on my bike, as well as a fanny pack and a backpack) using the fabric from an old self-inflating sleeping mat and parts of several old backpacks.

A useful trick that I don't remember where I got it from, but I use it for all my outdoor bag (and some other things, like a rain cover for my bike trailer) sewing: If you don't want to bother with the silicone tape that industrial makers use for sealing seams in waterproof fabrics: after sewing, put some liquid glue on the seam to re-seal the holes and soak into the thread, and let it dry. I use "Uhu Kraft", but any flexible waterproof glue should work for this.

Huh. Anyone ordered a lately? Did yours also come with an obvious fingerprint smudge on its contact surface?

The packaging is apparently undamaged.

I've contacted Yubico support about whether that's normal or a possible sign of tampering. Let's see what they say.

I got a Yubikey in January, but as far as I remember, there was no smudge like this on it 🤔

Hmm, maybe it's from some kind of manual testing/QA in the manufacturing process? But I'm just speculating.

Huhu Bubble - ich ziehe nächstes Jahr nach und brauche da eine neue Psychatrie-Praxis.

An sich würde ich auch erstmal die 4 Stunden Fahrt zu meinem bisherigen Arzt in Kauf nehmen, aber der hört evtl. schon vorher auf, also brauch ich im Prinzip jetzt sofort wen neues O.o

some things were already specific (rectangular table made of dark brown wood, size like a usual 4 person dining table, red ball), some were kinda vague and only became fixed after asking (ball made from a hard, shiny, rubber-like material, tennis ball size, placed at ~30% of the table length-wise and centered width-wise, being pushed towards the middle), and some are still completely undefined (the person).

I had been using MessagEase for a few years, and was always feeling a bit uncomfortable with it because it's closed source and was unmaintained for years.

I tried out Thumb-Key a while ago, but that's missing some basic features I'm really used to :/

Now that MessageEase is suddenly jumping on the "annoying subscription stuff" train, I really need to switch though... is there any other of this type, that maybe has more features than Thumb-Key?

The features that I miss most are:

  • gestures (circle/back-and-forth swipe) for uppercase letters and long press for numbers, instead of always having to switch layers
  • locally customizable layout (I used a german layout, but with the swedish å added to a previously empty place)
  • show a trail of where I swiped, instead of making the whole key flash in a bright color (at least I already managed to turn off the animation that made the letters disappear 🙄)

Uuuhhh, gerade entdeckt: Das Goethe-Institut hat auf YouTube eine Reihe "Dialekte Hotline", in der sie alle möglichen Dialekte der deutschen Sprache vorstellen. Ist ganz lustig gemacht und hat auch Untertitel, ist also sowohl was für Muttersprachler*innen als auch für Menschen, die Deutsch lernen.
