When we first moved here, 45 made it impossible for foreign spouses to work. So my wife went back to school and today, she’s graduating with her Bachelors in Psychology. Next stop: grad school! (Thankful for California’s excellent public universities system, and resident tuition!)

Sabrena felt she got an excellent education at SF State, and is looking forward to start the clinical psychology masters program to be your friendly multilingual culturally relevant therapist in a few years

The ice-cream place there (Kow Po) hasn't changed the way they made ice-cream in years. Used to be a treat for us when we were kids. A very nostalgic place (we haven't been back in quite a number of years though)

Whenever I read something along the lines of that, I get annoyed because what? People need to be hardworking, a contribution to the economy, etc. to have rights and feel safe?

(Many times, well meaning people have told me that they "cannot imagine why they make visas such a painful process. People like you are a great contribution to the country!")

(I get why they say that but also... Can you listen to yourself?)

The scammers pretending to be hot single ladies targeting Malaysian chinese-speaking users have arrived on Threads, and they fully understand that their audience love food pics more than boob pics.

(The food photo was in fact stolen from one of my mutuals)

Another scam account masquerading as a pretty & single Malaysian lady shares the exact same food photo.
A third scam account masquerading as a pretty & single Malaysian lady with huge boobs also sharing the exact same food photo.

Last meal in Atlanta

Breakfast of over easy eggs, grits, biscuit and a sausage. Not pictured, sauteed kale because I need my greens. Friend got pancakes with bananas. The pancakes were really good!

The biscuit is good too (it's usually too dry when I had it in the past)

Unfortunately, the friend I was with cannot really eat spicy so we went with all the stuff that are either not spicy or not very spicy... Maybe someday if I'm ever back I'll do the spicy things. It came recommended by a friend who is from Wuhan and they eat spicy there

The other places I ate at that I enjoyed: Urban Hui

It was a little trippy to hear Indonesian music as we were eating 😆

And then I ended up chatting a bit with the waiter, who is Indonesian who thought I was too because I was like omg who chose the music! (No, I didn't recognize them, but I did not expect to hear Indonesian music)

This pic is not all... The noodles came later and I think we did order more stuff (this is all for two people, but I have a very good holiday stomach, and only the bok choy was left unfinished by the end)
